Chapter Index

One against four, and he killed a Nascent Soul peak-stage demon.

Looking at Lu Yan’s casual demeanor, the three Nascent Soul True Lords felt dazed for a moment.

It was as if the terrifying demon lord Lu Yan spoke of wasn’t a peak existence of this world, but merely a trivial figure not worth mentioning.

However, thanks to Lu Yan’s reminder, the three Nascent Soul True Lords quickly cast aside their underestimation of the Longevity Heaven. Killing True Lord’s expression turned solemn as she spoke:

“Longevity Heaven remained hidden for thousands of years. Now, upon their reappearance, they first dispatched four Nascent Soul peak-stage demon lords to assassinate Envoy Lu, and then proceeded to seize control over the Nine Heavens from the minor factions.

“With such deep foundations, they are even stronger than some first-rate factions. We absolutely must not act rashly.

“I propose reporting this matter to the sect and awaiting further instruction.”

    “I second that.”

    “Agreed.”

All three Nascent Soul True Lords nodded in unison, their attitude exceedingly cautious.

But just then, Lu Yan interrupted their discussion.

    “I don’t think that’s wise.”

To the Nascent Soul true inheritors who had yet to grasp the truth behind the version updates, this “Great Collapse Version” merely represented a shift from the world of cultivation into another realm. Reporting back to the sect in such a scenario was perfectly reasonable.

However, Lu Yan knew the truth: the so-called report would only reach the sect in the next Immortal Cultivation version update—far too late.

What mattered most to Lu Yan now was igniting the war between the various versions. He had to complete his transaction with the Great Collapse Heavenly Dao within the remaining three months.

By the time the next Immortal Cultivation version rolled around, it would already be too late.

Hearing his words, the three Nascent Soul True Lords turned toward Lu Yan with confusion.

Lu Yan rubbed his brow lightly, thinking rapidly about how to explain the situation.

“Behind Longevity Heaven is an Outer Dao Evil who once fought against the Alliance of Immortals.”

This single line made the three Nascent Soul True Lords’ expressions shift dramatically.

As core true inheritors of their respective sects, they might not have fully grasped the concept of “this world’s only one,” but they had begun to understand the nature of the Alliance of Immortals and the Outer Dao Evils—higher-dimensional beings beyond their comprehension.

If Longevity Heaven was backed by an Outer Dao Evil, then the threat was far greater than they had anticipated.

“I came to the Great Collapse Realm precisely because of this Outer Dao Evil.

“But don’t worry. Matters related to Longevity Heaven will be handled by the Underworld. You need only focus on the overall battlefield.”

Once Lu Yan invoked the name of the Underworld, the three Nascent Soul True Lords relaxed slightly.

In their view, Lu Yan’s status as the undefeated force below the Divine Transformation realm stemmed entirely from the Underworld’s blessings—its bestowed Heavenly Dao Merit Artifact and thousands of ghostly soldiers.

If the Underworld itself had taken an interest in targeting Longevity Heaven, then they had no reason not to lend some support.

Just as Lu Yan and the three Nascent Soul True Lords were discussing, a golden sword-shaped talisman streaked across the distant sky like a falling star.

Cloud Scroll True Lord, catching a glimpse of it from the corner of his eye, explained:

“That is the Alliance of Immortals’ highest-grade Flying Star Sword Talisman. Below the Divine Transformation realm, virtually no one can intercept it. It’s specifically designed to transmit battlefield intelligence.

“These past few days, many such talismans have returned from the front lines. Perhaps some battlefront has shifted again.”

“But there’s no need for you to worry, Envoy Lu. At the moment, none of the factions know why the Mech City disappeared. Everyone is acting with some caution, so a large-scale war won’t erupt any time soon.”

Just as his words fell, hundreds of golden meteors tore across the sky, forming a grand meteor shower that rained down upon the entire Cave Heaven World.

    Cloud Scroll’s smile froze.

The true inheritance jade badge on his waist flashed rapidly with brilliant light, transmitting message after message.

He picked it up, and after a moment, his face changed dramatically as he turned to Lu Yan:

“Envoy Lu! Longevity Heaven has made their move!”

In the eastern region of the Great Collapse Realm, a rainbow of divine light streaked across the sky and fell onto a desolate wasteland.

Within the rainbow, Lu Yan stood with his eyes half-closed, recalling the information he had just received.

“Longevity Heaven launched a surprise attack on the territory of the mid-tier version faction Superpower Metropolis. With thunderous force, they destroyed most of its domain and forced thousands of superpowered beings into their own version fragment.

“After that, ten Nascent Soul-level demon lords of Longevity Heaven used a vast amount of rule-based resources to activate a sacrificial altar, forcibly summoning their own version fragment—Longevity Heaven—and used it to devour the Superpower Metropolis fragment.”

Back in the battle at Mech City, Lu Yan had used his unique trait as an Immutable One and a loophole in the version update system to destroy Mech City’s defenses, and then shattered the version fragment entirely with the power of the Ender Rule.

That act had already been considered earth-shattering within the Great Collapse Version.

Yet Longevity Heaven had now demonstrated a completely different method: directly using their version fragment to swallow another.

Such dominance shook the entire realm.

Version fragments were the final safety net for many factions. Now, with Mech City’s collapse and the Superpower Metropolis consumed, everyone realized that even within a version fragment, they were no longer safe.

Chaos in the Great Collapse Version was imminent.

Lu Yan welcomed this chaos. Only amidst such turmoil could he fish in troubled waters, destroy other version fragments, and fulfill his transaction with the Great Collapse Heavenly Dao.

But the chaos had to benefit him.

Lu Yan knew with certainty—whatever Longevity Heaven was doing, their ultimate target would be him. It could only be him.

Thus, he absolutely couldn’t allow Longevity Heaven to continue devouring version fragments.

More than that, Longevity Heaven’s actions had stirred a long-silent Great Collapse Heavenly Dao.

    【He is devouring】

    【He wants to descend】

    【Stop him… Stop him!】

The Great Collapse Heavenly Dao’s fragmented message revealed the true nature behind these events.

Someone was using Longevity Heaven to devour fragments and expand, and once the devouring reached a certain level, that entity would descend into the Great Collapse Version through the fragments.

There was only one being that Lu Yan could think of—one worthy of being called “He”—who was desperate to descend into this realm.

    “Longevity Celestial Lord!”

The moment those words surfaced in Lu Yan’s mind, a wave of unspeakable terror erupted like the thawing of ancient ice. It surged from the depths of his soul, cold and overwhelming.

This wasn’t ordinary fear. It was a primal dread branded into the soul—a living being’s instinctual submission before a supreme existence.

In an instant, the void above twisted as if stirred by an invisible finger. A pressure like a mountain’s collapse silently poured downward.

Lu Yan felt a pair of eyes—unseen but all-seeing—piercing through endless time, dimensions, and realities, slowly focusing on him.

The closer that gaze drew, the more distorted reality became. The air filled with a sensation beyond description, like ancient dust disturbed or the taut strings of time being plucked.

Lu Yan realized with bone-deep clarity: if that gaze fully settled on him, he would face a cataclysm beyond imagination—a doom that could shatter even the Grand Dao itself.

In that critical moment, Lu Yan’s ten-layered Supreme Dao Foundation stirred.

From the deepest layer, the myriad Dao runes etched around his Chaos Sun blazed with blinding radiance. Instead of scattering outward, the lights wove together into an intricate net, halting the forming gaze outside.

Cause and effect twisted. Time rewove its threads. Within the space around him, time flowed backward, returning him to the instant before he had thought of that name.

His thoughts wanted to resume their path, to consider the name’s meaning, but a sharp intuition—like a blade—cut the thought off entirely.

At that same moment, the familiar version update interface unfurled before him.

But this time, it was far from stable.

The text warped, barely readable, as if being suppressed by some invisible force:

    【He has… projected】

The flickering characters threatened to vanish at any second.

Then, even more blurred text emerged, barely discernible:

    【Unobservable, unthinkable…】

    Lu Yan instantly understood.

Some beings—just thinking of their name—could draw unimaginable disaster.

Such entities existed beyond this world’s comprehension.

The Immortal Taiyi in the Immortal Cultivation version was proof of this. He had used Lu Yan’s future karma as an anchor to linger for seven hundred years.

Previously, recalling the name of the Longevity Celestial Lord had posed no issue—because the Immortal Cultivation version had the Alliance of Immortals’ protection. That being had to remain hidden.

Even in the Great Collapse Version, before, that being couldn’t act.

But now, as Longevity Heaven devoured fragments, the Longevity Celestial Lord had managed to project part of his power into this world—rewriting the rules.

Speak His name, and He will know.

The almost-formed gaze faded slightly with the rewound time—but Lu Yan knew it was only temporary.

If Longevity Heaven devoured more fragments, the Celestial Lord’s power would grow.

Even without saying His name, Lu Yan would still be found.

To avoid that, Lu Yan had to stop Longevity Heaven from devouring more fragments.

His eyes sparkled as he looked up at the sky where the invisible gaze once loomed.

“In that case, let’s see who moves faster.”

As his voice fell, the Supreme Divine Power Seed activated. Golden light streaked across the land, traversing hundreds of miles in a blink.

Cyber Version Fragment – The Tower of All Worlds

The Tower of All Worlds was a newly risen mid-tier version faction within the Great Collapse Realm.

Previously, it had a different name. Its extraordinary individuals were few, its technology archaic. Even among all version factions in the Great Collapse Realm, it ranked among the lowest.

But everything changed when Universal Enterprises unified the realm and their God-AI corrected the psionic tech tree.

The Tower of All Worlds exploded in power.

From basic psionic users, they quickly amassed dozens of extraordinary individuals, and eventually birthed a “Heavenly Authority” class being comparable to a Nascent Soul cultivator.

The Tower of All Worlds stepped beyond its fragment and expanded rapidly, climbing to mid-tier status.

At one point, it nearly reached the peak of mid-tier power—controlling several resource zones and trading rule-based resources with first-tier factions that held Nine Heavens Authority.

    But then disaster struck.

A faction named Longevity Heaven descended and destroyed centuries of accumulated foundation. Five great demon lords surrounded and killed the Tower’s only Heavenly Authority-level being.

Helpless, the Tower retreated into its fragment, hoping for safety.

    But Longevity Heaven didn’t retreat.

Instead, they laid siege and began constructing an enormous sacrificial altar.

Due to tight information control and their simultaneous attack on Superpower Metropolis, the Tower of All Worlds had no idea that Longevity Heaven could devour version fragments.

Still, the Tower’s extraordinary individuals could vaguely sense something dreadful was coming.

At the edge of the version fragment, by its outer wall, a statue-like giant man named Shark gazed blankly into the distance.

Hundreds of powerful demon beasts worked on the altar. It pierced the heavens like a space elevator. The sheer scale made Shark curse under his breath:

“Damn it! After all that effort hiding my identity to sneak into the Tower, how did I end up in this mess again?”

Shark was the subordinate Lu Yan had recruited in the Cyber version, the spreader of the Cyber Nine Dragons Coffin Serum.

After Lu Yan left, City 14—being the only one not under Universal Enterprises’ control—faced heavy suppression.

Surprisingly, the God-AI didn’t attack, merely watching coldly.

Refugees from other cities flooded into City 14, causing rapid growth.

But this prosperity brought anxiety to the city’s upper echelon. They desperately wanted to understand Universal Enterprises’ true intentions.

In the internal power struggle, Shark—having lost his backing—was sent to the frontlines as a manager in a covert operation.

The infiltrators were quickly uncovered, and most perished. But Shark miraculously climbed in rank and even entered the Tower of All Worlds within the Great Collapse Realm.

It should’ve been a good thing.

But to Shark’s dismay, the mighty Tower of All Worlds collapsed in a single day and was now under siege.

Though old Tower veterans claimed the core territory was impenetrable, Shark didn’t buy it.

As the altar neared completion, he sensed growing danger.

“This time I might really die. They said there are five demon lords, all comparable to Heavenly Authority class.

“Even if the boss showed up, could he really stop that?”

“…If I die here, will anyone avenge me?”

As he drifted into wild thoughts, a golden rainbow tore through the sky, piercing one of the hundred-meter-tall demon lords in an instant.

The remaining four demon lords, along with hundreds of extraordinary-level demon beasts, turned to face the golden light with alarm.

When the light faded, someone Shark never expected appeared in his view.

    “Boss?”
