Chapter Index

In Buvise’s original plan, the greatest obstacle to this operation was none other than Director Pran, who had reached the level of a Transcendent Psionic.

Missiles from sky warships and the city’s defense system could be avoided or neutralized—once they breached the Paradise Computation Center, most external threats would be rendered irrelevant.

After all, unless the AI God truly intended to perish together with them, it would never fire large-scale weapons at its own computation hub.

But Director Pran was a different matter entirely.

As the peak single-combat power of the Cyber Version, Pran needed no mass destruction weaponry. His own strength was more than enough to suppress everyone present.

If Pran couldn’t be dealt with, even taking over the Paradise Computation Center would mean nothing.

According to the original strategy, Pran had one fatal flaw—he was already under the AI God’s control.

As long as someone possessed Heavenly Code, Pran would ignore them. This flaw was meant to allow Upper City’s High-Rank psionics to carry out certain preemptive actions.

For instance, using Heavenly Code to identify who had been controlled by the AI God, and surrounding Pran’s floating island with a ring of Heavenly Code, thus cutting off the AI God’s influence over him.

If done properly, keeping Pran confined to the Upper City would have been easy.

But unexpectedly—something went wrong with this crucial step.

Just as Buvise was about to erupt in fury, his communicator buzzed with a frantic voice:

“Hey! Buvise? Director Pran has gone to the Paradise Computation Center! Retreat at once!”

“It was those fools from the Pippin family! They secretly tried to play both sides with the AI God. They moved the Heavenly Code ring slightly—not enough to make it obvious, but enough to let the AI God’s signal seep in and regain control over Pran.”

    Hearing this, Buvise cursed furiously:

“Idiots! I’ll have their souls turned into fodder in the processing plant!”

But cursing now was useless. Buvise could already feel the oppressive pressure of a Transcendent Psionic crashing into the Spiral Tower.

    And what shocked him most—

“Wait… His target isn’t the control core?!”

    Buvise’s expression suddenly shifted.

    “No—he’s after Mr. Lu!”

At that same moment, Blood Tendril, having just finished extracting the final High-Rank psionic’s soul, suddenly turned to look outside the window with a grave expression.

A golden figure streaked through the air and crashed directly into the floor where Lu Yan was stationed, instantly drawing the attention of both Main Souls.

Within a heartbeat, Blood Tendril’s expression changed.

    Three innate spells erupted simultaneously:

    Innate Spell: Soul Fusion!
    Innate Spell: Titan Form!
    Innate Spell: Ghost Armor!

Blood-red tendrils linked all 800 specters together, fusing them into a massive ghostly titan. The Giant Spirit Main Soul doubled in size once again, nearly piercing through the Spiral Tower’s ceiling.

On their immense ghostly forms, black armor radiating a chilling gleam appeared—empowering their defenses to the peak.

    And yet—it was all useless.

The Giant Spirit, standing at the front, only managed to hold for a single instant before his Ghost Armor shattered like glass. His massive body was pierced straight through by the golden light.

Next came the Blood Tendril Giant Ghost, formed from the fusion of 800 specters, each wearing their own Ghost Armor spell—plus one massive primary armor. Eight hundred and one layers of ghost armor combined, pushing its defenses to the limit.

With its power raised to the late Foundation Establishment Stage, the Blood Tendril Giant Ghost unleashed all its strength in this one clash.

The golden stream of light, however, only stalled for a breath of time before crashing forward. The ground beneath the Blood Tendril shattered. The intense golden light, surging with infinite psionic energy, nearly tore the fused specter apart.

Its gigantic body was slammed into the ghost mist, finally forcing back the golden glow and revealing the figure within.

It was the same man who had once crossed paths with Lu Yan—Director Pran.

Now, his body radiated divine golden light. He looked like a god descended upon the mortal realm.

Terrifying psionic currents surged around him. His eyes shone golden, carrying a chilling indifference—as though he gazed upon all life from high above.

Pran’s gaze settled on the shattered Blood Tendril. Though the Heavenly Code engraved on the specter’s body concealed its true form, that brief contact had already allowed Pran to discern its aura.

    Then, Pran’s expression changed.

    “It’s that despicable thief!”

“And in the depths of the black mist… there’s another thief’s aura!”

Clearly, Pran was now fully under the AI God’s control. Enraged, he unleashed his psionic might without reservation.

A golden spear, formed from pure psionic energy, burst forth—thrusting toward the ghost mist where Lu Yan was hidden.

Blood Tendril charged out to meet it, dozens of arms grasping the spear, attempting to drain its power.

But the psionic reserves of a Transcendent Psionic were near-infinite, constantly replenished from the psionic sea.

After only a moment’s deadlock, the Blood Tendril Giant Ghost exploded, the 800 fused specters flung apart, their original forms exposed.

Some were outright obliterated, their souls scattered—needing to be retrieved into the Soul Banner for reforging.

Most were severely damaged, barely hanging onto existence.

Only a small number could maintain their forms—and even they no longer had the strength to fight.

With two casual strikes, Pran had shattered the fused specter.

He descended slowly from the sky and began walking toward the dense ghost mist.

He could sense it—the missing fragment of the Soul World was concealed within this mist. If he could reclaim it, the Soul World could be repaired.

Otherwise, the AI God would need to expend immense effort stabilizing the rules of the Soul World before dispatching new souls to fix it—a process that could take countless years.

Soul ascension was close at hand. This was a result the AI God would never allow.

Only by killing the thief and recovering the lost piece could the plan be salvaged.

But just as Pran—no, the AI God—approached the ghost mist, he suddenly paused.

A flicker of awareness told him—his control over Pran’s body was rapidly weakening.

    “What is this…?”

He could not see it, but while the Soul Fusion spell had dispersed, the wounded specters had already formed a ring around the area.

The Heavenly Code etched onto their chests glowed with psionic light.

The runes connected, forming a sealed ring of Heavenly Code—and the AI God’s power was now steadily leaking out from within.
