Chapter Index

It will be available on July 5th, Friday at noon, the same as the usual update time.

Three chapters will be updated at noon, and another one will be updated at 7 pm.

Originally, in Gui’s new book reserve, “Hun” was only ranked third. There were two books ahead of him: one was about the revival of spiritual energy in ancient times, which was completely market-oriented, and the other was a comedy novel with a multiverse world view. Both world view, story structure, and basic character settings were already completed.

I used to think that I couldn’t keep taking risks and trying new genres. My senior brother and the immortal were products of the previous era by the author, and now it’s the era of anti-piracy. If I don’t create a market novel with super high average subscriptions, I’ll really be out of fashion.

So I didn’t initially plan to write this book. When I was working on the world-building for this book, I even took a picture of the navigation diagram on the blackboard and showed it to the group chat…

Good grief, I almost missed a detail!

Luckily, I felt I couldn’t leave it out, so I withdrew it, hehe.

Why write about such a novel subject?

I originally intended to write the beginnings of my three new books for comparison. When I got to the fourth chapter of this book, when Wei Na fired the gun, inspiration exploded. I couldn’t suppress it or stop it. A shattered apocalyptic world unfolded in my mind on its own. Since I needed to increase my writing volume in reality to combat the sugar control, I simply decided to start writing two books at the same time.

The day before I started writing the book, I asked the lady in the copyright department of Dianniang, and her reply was… “Apocalypse stories are hard to sell.”

This made me quite hesitant, and I struggled with the decision for a long time.

    Nobody turns down money.

My senior’s anime series have already become yearly releases, and their popularity is soaring. All I need to do is honestly produce comedic ancient fantasy anime with male protagonists that are marketable, and I can easily make a little money.

But when it comes to this, if creators don’t follow their own inspiration, what do they follow? Other people’s inspiration?

So I sealed the two books at the top of the list as new book reserves, afraid that I would regret it, and gritted my teeth and released them directly!

    Let’s do it!

    It completely baffled the editor.

And so, this book began. It started with zero recommendations and was quietly released, but its readership grew steadily.

I’ve started doing what my senior brother did during his time as an immortal: deleting and revising a lot of drafts.

I don’t have high expectations for its sales performance. I just hope it’s better than when Abyss Lonely was released. Abyss Lonely is a space opera without an upgrade system, and that thing is going against the market trend.

“Walking Alone in the Abyss” is my worst-performing work in recent years, with an average subscription of 3,000 units when it was first released, but it now has an average subscription of 17,000 units.

Having endured the grueling, solitary pressure of writing, I’m now immune to any stress when it comes to typing.

    In short!

As for the results, it all depends on you, dear readers!

My next step is to focus on polishing the book “Mixed”!

If my long-time readers see this farewell message, please don’t impulsively subscribe and make purchases just because it’s an older work. Read the story first, and if you like it, then you can pay.

We will continue to update steadily and strive for high-quality writing. After the Immortal Father finishes writing the finale, we will add more chapters here when the time is right. Once the Immortal Father’s work is settled, we will then focus on climbing the charts and attracting more traffic. We need to get the early story in order first.

A good story is always the most important thing.

No story or subject matter can please everyone.

Everything else—the so-called status in the industry, awards, titles, rankings, whether it’s past its prime—is less meaningful than a reader’s simple “good read.”

Furthermore, the title was not chosen randomly, but rather after careful consideration.

【Mixed】 represents the main style of this book, 【Solo Cultivation】 is the main setting of the male protagonist, and 【Apocalypse】 is the world-building background. If necessary, it can be changed to ‘Apocalypse Solo Immortal’ or’Solo Ascension to Immortality’. Suggestions for good titles are welcome!

The first act, Blackfire, is used to lay the foundation for the worldview. It is deliberately written in a tense and oppressive style. However, the overall style will not remain oppressive. There is a process of moving from underground to the light.

The male protagonist’s name represents one of his future development paths—mechanical mysticism.

Over the past six years, I have been practicing the creative philosophy of “continuous innovation and pushing boundaries,” and have tried various genres, including spiritual revival, humorous and steady flow, mythology of mountains and seas, modern cultivation (failed), space opera, father and son double transmigration, and this one, a science fiction apocalypse + cultivation reverse transmigration.

These are all my ammunition depots.

After completing the book “Mixed,” I will draw cards from these themes and old stories based on market trends, and use the stories, systems, and worldviews I have already created to repeatedly refine and produce new books.

The latest novels are first published on 69shuba!

Expanding my writing topics is the only way I can think of after much serious thought that will allow me to maintain my passion for writing for at least twenty years.

It’s not that I don’t want to repeat the successful formula of my senior brother, Renxian; what I’m afraid of is that after repeating it for two books, I will completely lose my love for writing.

I treat story creation as a lifelong career.

Therefore, according to my creative plan, regardless of the success or failure of the book “Mixed Up,” I will take a break for six months to a year after finishing it to recharge myself before starting my next stage of more market-oriented creative work.

As this book continues, I will continue to revise and refine it, prioritizing quality over speed, and striving to bring this stage to a satisfactory conclusion.

Alright, let’s pick up where we left off and get back to the main topic.

Please subscribe and vote with monthly tickets!

This is really important for the exposure this book will get later!
