My Job Is Quite Unique Chapter 64
byChapter 64: Facing Zhou Xian!
【Discovered a special profession – Believer. Believes in oneself, no prerequisites for job change.】
“Did I beat all the faith out of it?” Su Chen touched his nose, marveling, “It lasted this long, so that’s not bad.”
Su Chen hesitated for a moment and chose to take on the profession.
“Believing in myself, I wonder what special abilities I’ll get.”
This job change hardly brought any physical changes to him, but a panel popped up with a notification.
【Believer job change completed. Obtained professional ability – Atheist: Can impersonate other believers.】
【Currently available for impersonation as a Heituo Cultist. After successful impersonation, new professional abilities will be acquired, along with more cultist professions for swallowing and impersonation.】
It can do that?
Su Chen exclaimed again, “This profession is quite interesting.”
He was quite curious and immediately tried to impersonate.
【Believer (Heituo Cultist) – Lord Heituo: As a Heituo cultist, you can subtly sense the presence of other Heituo cultists and certain items related to Heituo.】
“That simple?” Su Chen frowned slightly, but felt a chill on his scalp. He reached up and was surprised, “Where did my hair go?”
He ran to the bathroom and saw that he had changed dramatically, now bald, with a black vertical pupil mark on his head.
“Damn it, my hair.” Su Chen quickly canceled the impersonation, and the next moment, his hair returned to normal.
“It really is an impersonation…” He breathed a sigh of relief, then thought of many things, muttering, “In that case, I seem to have another life-saving charm. If I encounter a Heituo cultist, I can directly become one of them.”
“No, these cults treat their followers as cannon fodder. Becoming one of them is not necessarily a good thing.”
“Unfortunately, this profession is transformed from a Heituo cultist, so I can’t teach it to others.”
He switched back to 【Heituo Cultist】 and carefully sensed and comprehended, then suddenly turned to look southwest, surprised and uncertain, “That direction, there seems to be something attracting me.”
Su Chen didn’t expect the feeling to be so direct.
“Should I…” He pondered, his eyes darting.
When night fell, he put on his Shadow-Hiding Clothes, donned the Mimicry Mask, and wisps of wind enveloped him. 【Hidden Wind Shadow】 activated, and he also used his 【Mental Shielding】 ability. Even in the light, he was almost invisible.
He slipped out of the window and hid nearby, waiting for a long time, but no one came to look for him.
“Did Zhang Hongbo not send anyone to watch here, or did my stealth deceive them?”
Su Chen frowned slightly, and in a few flashes, he disappeared into the night.
Following the feeling, Su Chen arrived near an ordinary civilian house in the Outer District.
But he didn’t rush in, nor did he switch to being a 【Heituo Cultist】 to mix in. He just sensed the surroundings from the outside to confirm the direction.
Then he pulled out his smart bracelet and carefully contacted Fatty Sun.
“Yes, I’m sure…”
“Take some people, but don’t say it was me who told you, just say it was your source…”
After the call, he concealed his aura and waited on the outskirts.
“Feeling Heituo cultists, as well as other items related to Heituo…” Su Chen mused to himself, “Heituo cultists can’t all be gathered here. What attracted me here must be some kind of item.”
An hour or two later, several patrol airships landed silently in the distance, and fully armed patrol teams poured out, led by Fatty Sun and Section Chief Qin of the Patrol Division.
But before he could finish his arrangements, his face suddenly changed drastically. He looked at the target building, and shadows, like fleas, swarmed out, then darted in all directions. “The news has leaked!” Sun Tai’s face was grim, and he made an immediate decision, “Action! Kill, don’t capture!”
Boom!
His flabby flesh jiggled, and Sun Tai moved like a leaping rabbit, rushing with Qin Cheng towards the strongest among them.
Su Chen watched carefully from a distance, “There seems to be an insider in the Supervision Department, but their position shouldn’t be high, as they only informed now.”
“However…” he then looked in another direction.
Qin Cheng and Sun Tai were chasing some of the strongest among this group, but Su Chen could feel that the thing attracting him was not in that direction.
Instead, it went in the opposite direction.
“Quite clever,” Su Chen grinned, following stealthily.
The target’s movement speed wasn’t fast, always heading towards the desolate parts of the Outer District. Su Chen quickly caught up, knocking out a few Tier 1 patrol guards along the way.
Whoosh!
A shadow suddenly fell, and the Heituo cultist holding a metal box paused, staring at him with a sinister expression, yet with some suspicion.
Su Chen took off his Shadow-Hiding Clothes and revealed his iconic bald head, and the other person’s expression softened, “It really is one of us. Did the priest send you?”
Priest? Su Chen’s expression shifted slightly, and he deliberately lowered his voice, nodding: “That’s right.”
“The holy object is in here, you should be able to feel it. Take it.”
The other party handed him the item without any guard.
It felt good to be trusted, Su Chen mused, reaching out to take the metal box.
With a flick of his hand, the green silk rope swept across, and a head rolled to the ground, its pupils slowly widening.
“I wonder what’s inside this thing?” Su Chen glanced at it briefly, and just as he was about to toss it into his storage space, his movement froze.
He looked up at the end of the dark alley, where two figures stood.
“Did the priest send others?” One of them seemed a little confused.
Su Chen’s heart skipped a beat. This voice, he was too familiar with it—it was Zhou Xian!
He cursed inwardly, never expecting this guy to show up, let alone so quickly.
“Give me the item.” He extended his hand, his tone calm. The headless corpse on the ground was not enough to make him wary.
Because the believer next to him had already confirmed that the other party was one of them, and fratricide was very common within the Mysterious God Cult.
“The priest also sent us,” the Heituo cultist beside him explained thoughtfully, “This friend is very powerful; it’s better if we take him away.”
“Understood.” Su Chen lowered his voice and walked over step by step, only to realize that the other person was missing an arm and his life aura was weak, as if his injuries hadn’t healed yet.
His figure looked somewhat familiar?
Zhou Xian frowned slightly, watching the person approach and reaching out to take the metal box.
Su Chen reached out to hand it over, but the spiritual energy in his mind was already surging relentlessly, coalescing into a needle, thrusting fiercely towards the target in front of him.
Buzz!
Su Chen only felt his head throbbing with pain, as if his spiritual energy had hit a stone wall. The difference between them was too great; Zhou Xian’s mental resilience was extremely high.
But he was, after all, severely injured at the moment.
“Hmm?” Zhou Xian felt as if he had been pricked by a needle, dazed for a moment. By the time he reacted, a green silk rope had already whipped towards him, carrying a surge of powerful wind, swift and fast!
“You’re asking for death!” Zhou Xian’s face contorted with rage, electric arcs flashing in his pupils, and scorching electric light erupted from his body.
