Chapter Index

The luster of the coral and the shadow of the water plants were swaying.

Above, the deep sea was dark. It was unknown whether it was night or seawater.

The audience was in an uproar, lively and noisy.

“The ninth group actually turned the tables this year?” The leader of the third group rubbed his stubbled chin.

“After so many years, it’s about time they won the lottery,” the leader of the fifth group said. “I just don’t know how many rounds this kid can last.”

Someone from the fourth group jumped down and took Terusaka Kei away.

The referee announced loudly, “Ninth group, Tsugumi, one defense!”

The members of the ninth group cheered thunderously. Rabbit, Yuka, and the other girls shouted desperately, “Tsugumi! Tsugumi! Tsugumi!”

The male members of the ninth group were also boiling with excitement.

“Ho, hohoho!” Minamoto Kiyomoto jumped and threw punches, as if he were doing warm-up exercises.

The leader of the first group stood up, and her voice, enhanced by the enchanting pink divine power, spread throughout the coral temple:
“No matter what he looks like, if you defeat this little devil, you can accompany me for a month!”

    “Really?!”

    “I’ll do it!”

    “I’ll go first!”

The pace of going up to the stage, which had been briefly stagnant just now, was like pressing the fast-forward button. In an instant, many people rushed up.

The referee had to shout “Go up! Go up!” again. In the end, among these people, a member of the second group with a sinister face was left.

Minamoto Kiyomoto had information on this person.

His surname was Maeda, from Mie Prefecture, a former official cultivator. Later, for some reason, he killed more than seventy people in Shima City.

This was the hot favorite to win the newcomer battle of the second group this year. He cultivated the evil curse of the Heian period—the Living Spirit Curse.

This curse had appeared in “The Tale of Genji,” but ordinary people only saw it as a story.

At that time, the Rokujo Consort, who was the crown princess, fell in love with Genji and became his lover. However, Genji was promiscuous and gradually became distant from her.

At the Kamo Festival, the Rokujo Consort and Genji’s legal wife, Aoi no Ue, had a conflict over their seating arrangement.

Although the Rokujo Consort’s husband was the crown prince, he had died before inheriting the position of “Lord of Kyoto,” and she was alone and without support.

Aoi no Ue, on the other hand, was the daughter of the Minister of the Left. Her mother was the sister of the current “Lord of Kyoto,” her brother was the Head Captain, and her husband was the “Lord of Kyoto’s” most beloved son.

The result of the two competing was predictable. The Rokujo Consort was severely humiliated.

Because of the jealousy born of love and the resentment from the seating dispute, the Rokujo Consort used these two emotions to actually make a part of her capacity leave her body, mastering the “Living Spirit Curse,” and used it to kill Aoi no Ue.

The “Living Spirit Curse” was extremely strange and powerful, and even the Rokujo Consort herself was afraid of it.

She first went to Ise Shrine, and then became a nun, wanting to quell this resentment.

However, the strangeness of the “Living Spirit Curse” exceeded the Rokujo Consort’s expectations.

After she died, her spirit still existed, causing Genji’s legal wife at that time, Onna Sannomiya, to become a nun, and almost killing Genji’s most beloved, Murasaki no Ue.

Seeing Maeda, who was good at the “Living Spirit Curse,” come on stage, all the members of the ninth group held their breath.

“Will it be alright?” Rabbit and Yuka held hands, watching nervously.

    “Little brother!” Fatty shouted.

Everyone looked over and heard Fatty continue, “Surrender!”

“Fatty! What nonsense are you talking about!” Rabbit and Yuka pinched his flesh fiercely.

Fatty shouted, “I’m doing it for his own good!” while holding his head and scurrying away.

    On the field.

“Kid, you’re good at body curses?” Maeda sneered. “How about this, as long as you touch my spirit, you win!”

“We agree! We agree! We agree!” Fatty shouted.

“Can you not be so embarrassing!” Rabbit said in annoyance.

“Don’t you agree?” Fatty immediately retorted.

“Of course we agree, but we can’t agree in such an embarrassing way!”

In the pile of huge rocks, Minamoto Kiyomoto continued to assume the alert stance of Jeet Kune Do and said to Maeda, “Please advise.”

“Ah—,” Maeda suddenly screamed, his hands grabbing his face, as if he were trying to tear off the skin and flesh on his face.

The green divine power light was like the ghost fire of the underworld, evil and dark.

In this ghost fire-like divine power, a gloomy and miserable sound, like a crying laugh, came.

With a “thud,” Maeda suddenly fell down. His spirit had already appeared, right on the field, but no one could see it.

“I know his weakness!” Fatty’s voice was boiling with excitement. “Hit his body!”

“We agreed that touching the spirit counts as a win. Are you guys trying to go back on your word?” someone from the second group said.

“That’s what we agreed to! Not Tsugumi!” Rabbit retorted.

“That’s right!” Yuka also chimed in.

The second group and the ninth group were separated by the first group, and the two sides were cursing at each other.

    “Swoosh!”

Minamoto Kiyomoto jumped up from the spot like a frog. The next moment, the place where he had been standing, several huge rocks shattered with a “bang.”

The ninth group and the second group quieted down and looked at the arena nervously.

Minamoto Kiyomoto, who was in the air, suddenly aimed at the top of his head and threw a punch.

“Boom!” The air wave was discharged, and the invisible sound wave rushed in all directions.

Minamoto Kiyomoto was pushed back to the ground.

“Ah!” The ninth group couldn’t help but exclaim. They had no idea where Maeda’s spirit was.

If it had been them just now, a hole would have been grabbed in their heads.

A broken bone or even a broken leg or arm could be saved on the spot, but if the head was opened, even a Kosen couldn’t do anything.

Minamoto Kiyomoto stood on the grassland. The foxtail grass was everywhere. It was unknown where the wind came from, but it blew the grass waves rolling.

His eyes, which were exposed outside the mask, were moving rapidly, and his ears were pricked up.

From the moment Maeda summoned his spirit and his body lost control, it could be seen that his cultivation was not profound. The spirit, which should have been formless and silent, had a slight fluctuation of divine power at the moment of attack.

Rabbit and Yuka held their hands tightly, forgetting to breathe, and were even more nervous than Minamoto Kiyomoto on the field.

    “Second group! Victory!”

    “Maeda! Victory!”

They, who were concentrating, glared at the second group angrily.

“Referee! I want to report! These people are deliberately making noise to interfere with the contestants!” Rabbit shouted at the referee.

“Report invalid,” the referee replied without thinking.

“Hahaha!” The second group let out a mocking sound. “Second group! Victory! Second group! Victory!”

The ninth group had no choice but to place their hopes on Minamoto Kiyomoto, hoping that he could dodge Maeda’s attack.

At this time, Minamoto Kiyomoto suddenly took a step back.

The foxtail grass in front of him was cut off as if by a sickle.

“Boom!” Minamoto Kiyomoto threw a punch at the front.

Like a strong wind passing through, the foxtail grass flew away like a sea, and the grass tassels flew in the air.

He suddenly crossed his hands in front of him. Before everyone could react, they saw him being sent flying.

The people of the second group let out a cheer. Some even provoked the ninth group, making faces and imitating Fatty’s voice of surrender.

Rabbit and Yuka couldn’t fight back. They were so nervous that they kept swallowing their saliva and anxiously muttered, “What should we do, what should we do.”

“Surrender, surrender,” Fatty was also muttering to himself.

The monk, Horse Face, and the others cursed at Fatty, “Don’t be noisy,” and stared at the field without blinking.

“Group leader?” Even Hanyu Chika couldn’t help but ask Itomi Sayaka.

“Don’t worry,” Itomi Sayaka was calm.

“Do you think that brat can win?” Sanae Sara asked her with curiosity.

“I don’t think he can win, but I have confidence in him,” Itomi Sayaka said a very thoughtful sentence.

Minamoto Kiyomoto retreated very far, all the way to the Gobi Desert at the edge of the arena.

An ordinary person looking at the grassland where he had just stood from here would even need a telescope to see clearly.

“Kid, surrender quickly!” The people from the fourth and fifth groups behind him booed from above.

Minamoto Kiyomoto looked at his arm. An evil thought was wrapped around it, like an insect trying to bite through his skin and drill in to eat his flesh and drink his blood.

A green divine power flashed on his body, and the evil thought dissolved like snow.

The Buddhist curses were useful and could restrain the “Living Spirit Curse.”

After getting this information, he jumped lightly on the spot and landed on the high cliff of the Gobi Desert.

“Kid, your body curse doesn’t seem to work,” Maeda’s voice came from all directions, moving very fast.

“That’s not necessarily so, uncle,” Minamoto Kiyomoto rubbed his arm and said with a smile.

“If you have any other curses, just use them. Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance to use your phone. Hehehe, I’m going to break your neck, bit by bit!”

The sinister laughter passed through the grassland, crossed the lake, and meandered through the huge rocks, lingering in the entire arena.

“Uncle!” Minamoto Kiyomoto shouted at the sky. “You used the ‘Living Spirit Curse’ just now, and I didn’t launch a sneak attack. I also need to prepare. Can you give me some time?”

“This kid is still negotiating? This is hilarious!” The audience burst out laughing.

Which member of the Shinto religion didn’t have a sinister heart?

Even if they weren’t that smart, they knew the most basic principle of striking first and thinking of the worst in everything.

    “Hehe, alright,” Maeda agreed.

The voice came from all directions, but he had already circled around Minamoto Kiyomoto several times, his heart full of fun like a cat letting go of a mouse.

“Thank you, uncle. This is my first time trying this curse. It might take a little longer!”

    “Stop wasting time, let’s begin!”

Minamoto Kiyomoto clenched his fists tightly, his back bent and tense like a shrimp.

“Haa—” he slowly let out a low roar.

The green divine power, which was originally as thin as a flame, suddenly shot up into the sky, like a lotus flower, blooming from a seed in a second.

“Ah—” Minamoto Kiyomoto let out another angry roar. The veins on his neck bulged, and a powerful aura spread out.

“Boom!” The Gobi Desert was shaken.

“What a powerful divine power!” The fourth and fifth groups, who were closer, had their eyes narrowed if their strength was slightly weaker, as if they were looking directly at a storm.

“I knew it! I knew it!” Fatty pushed aside Rabbit and Yuka, who were blocking him, and rushed to the front of the stands.

“This is a Super Saiyan!” Fatty stepped on the stands and swung his right hand fiercely. “Kakarot Tsugumi, let them see the power of a Saiyan!”

Everyone was surprised and uncertain. As a world-class animation, they of course knew about Saiyans.

A Saiyan was impossible, but could there really be a curse similar to a Saiyan’s transformation?

“What Saiyan!” Maeda roared. “As long as it’s a body curse, you can’t beat me!”

Minamoto Kiyomoto was still roaring, and the divine power shot straight to the ceiling of the coral temple. The seawater was illuminated a shade of green.

    “Haa—”

A visible heat wave, with Minamoto Kiyomoto as the center, pushed out in circles.

The lake surface rippled, the gravel in the huge rock pile danced wildly, the foxtail grass swayed desperately, and a storm was stirred up in the Gobi Desert.

“H-How is this possible!” Fatty blocked the wind and sand with his hand. “His combat power is 100 million!”

“Fatty—” Rabbit also blocked the blowing wind with her hand and asked loudly, “do you know what this curse is?”

    “I said it’s a Super Saiyan! It’s not a curse!”

“The momentum is very amazing, but that’s all!” a person from the second group suddenly said, forming a seal with his hands, and his divine power burst forth, erecting a barrier.

The next moment, except for the arena, the other places were instantly calm.

“How is this possible? The power of a Saiyan’s transformation can even reach the divine world!” Fatty was in disbelief, his hand still blocking his face.

“So it’s just a speaker, just loud!” someone sneered.

“Hahaha!” The second group burst out laughing.

“Ah—” Minamoto Kiyomoto suddenly straightened his body and roared at the sky.

    “Boom!”

The green color seemed to be about to explode outwards, and the powerful momentum broke the barrier, and a strong wind poured into the audience seats.

The members of the second group, who had been laughing wildly just now, had their mouths filled with wind and gravel, and their laughter was stuck in their throats.

    It wasn’t over yet.

The next moment, the green divine power suddenly contracted and all poured back into Minamoto Kiyomoto’s body.

    “Bang!”

An even stronger air wave, like a hurricane, rushed towards the stands.

Fatty was directly blown away, and many people fell over, and a series of miserable cries were heard.

They stood up in horror and looked at the arena.

The storm had subsided. Minamoto Kiyomoto stood on the cliff of the Gobi Desert, and the divine power around his body was like a hedgehog, forming sharp spikes.

The momentum was terrifying. The air around him had condensed, and the scene was quiet for a moment, as if it had returned to the real deep sea trench.

At this time, Maeda, who had long wanted to make a move, pounced over.

    “Kid, go to hell!”

The cold killing intent condensed people’s blood.

A burst of light suddenly erupted from Minamoto Kiyomoto’s body, so dazzling that people could not look directly at it.

Although everyone could not see, they could vaguely feel that Maeda had retreated.

“Uncle,” because he was suppressing his divine power, Minamoto Kiyomoto’s voice had recovered a little of its original tone, “it’s not over yet.”

“It’s this voice!” Fatty shouted. “The unique voice of a Super Saiyan! Powerful! Invincible!”

    Minamoto Kiyomoto: “…”

The so-called Super Saiyan was just the “Vajra Glass Curse.”

This was his first attempt to not increase his body size and compress all the power of this curse into his current body.

The divine power that formed sharp needles like a hedgehog was proof of his immaturity.

“This kid is amazing!” the leader of the seventh group praised.

“Not bad,” the leader of the eighth group nodded.

As a Kosen-level, they could naturally see the principle behind it, instead of suspecting some Super Saiyan transformation like the others.

“But what does ‘it’s not over yet’ mean?” The leader of the fourth group was also a woman. She supported her chin with her hand and pondered.

“Could it be…” She raised her head and looked at the arena.

Minamoto Kiyomoto’s right hand slowly clenched into a fist.

“Settle down for me!” he seemed to be giving an order to something.

The next moment, the explosive divine power actually became as gentle as flowing water, slowly contracting, and floating around him like green smoke.

At this point, he looked no different from the beginning.

But no one dared to underestimate him.

“Alright!” The leader of the third group slapped his knee fiercely, and the golden armor let out a dragon’s roar. “Group Leader of the ninth group, how about you let me have him? This kid is definitely suitable for cultivating the ‘Holy Armor Curse’! Give him to me, and I’ll give you five years of funds!”

“Give him to me, and add a divine weapon!” The leader of the first group, Sanae Sara, her eyes bursting with a strange light, her legs clamped around her mischievous right hand.

Everyone listened and looked at Minamoto Kiyomoto in horror.

“Sorry,” Itomi Sayaka said with a smile, “I managed to trick him into coming. I can’t give him to you.”

What Minamoto Kiyomoto was doing now was extremely exaggerated.

Cultivators absorbed divine power, which was like a card collecting game, with hundreds of thousands or millions of cards.

Others just collected them, but Minamoto Kiyomoto remembered the characters and introductions on every card. When he used them, he could blurt out the information of every card and let them be distributed in the most reasonable way.

Every drop of divine power was controlled to the most subtle place.

Such a person was naturally different from ordinary cultivators!
    “Ding!” “Dang!” “Clang!”

A sound like striking iron came from the arena.

Everyone came back to their senses and quickly looked. They saw sparks flying from Minamoto Kiyomoto’s body. It was obvious that he was suffering from Maeda’s fierce attack.

But he stood on the cliff, motionless, and even closed his eyes.

The sound of striking iron continued, and from time to time, Maeda’s angry roar could be heard.

“I see,” after a long time, Minamoto Kiyomoto finally opened his eyes. He had already understood the principle of the “Living Spirit Curse.”

In that case, this battle should also be over.

Maeda, who had been a little desperate, saw him open his eyes and quickly retreated, hiding his figure.

Minamoto Kiyomoto clenched his fist and threw a punch.

He didn’t know where Maeda was, but it didn’t matter.

The fist stirred up a strong wind, rushing forward like a dam opening to release a flood. Everything in front of him was pushed away and drowned!
    “Boom!”

Huge rocks flew, lake water splashed, and the grassland was directly shoveled flat.

Minamoto Kiyomoto jumped into the dust.

Maeda opened his eyes from his own body and found that his feet could not touch the ground, and his throat could not breathe.

The dust settled, and everyone saw Minamoto Kiyomoto pinching Maeda’s neck and lifting him high.

“Kid, stop!” the second group shouted, wishing they could rush down.

But the rules were limited. Unless the person on the arena personally said they surrendered, no one else was allowed to rescue them.

Maeda’s hand produced a green qi sword, and he slashed at Minamoto Kiyomoto’s arm again and again, but besides sparks, there was no effect.

He slowly stuck out his tongue, the green qi sword in his hand flickered, and his consciousness began to blur.

    “Crack!”

Maeda’s face instantly turned pale, scared. That was just the sound Minamoto Kiyomoto made with his mouth.

“Uncle, your neck is broken,” Minamoto Kiyomoto said with a boyish smile, waving his hand and throwing him aside like trash.

“I… I surrender! I surrender!” The moment he landed, Maeda’s breathing had not yet smoothed out. With the last breath in his lungs, he shouted in a low voice.

“Ninth group, Tsugumi, two defenses!” the referee shouted.

The members of the ninth group shouted loudly, and Rabbit and Yuka were so excited that they jumped up and down.

“Yuka Butterfly, I’m already fascinated by Tsugumi! He’s so cool!” Rabbit said loudly.

“Me too! Me too!” Yuka was so excited that her ears turned red.

The people of the second group rushed down to save Maeda, and at the same time, left one person to challenge.

“Kid, die!” That person stood far away and bombarded with a powerful long-range curse.

Minamoto Kiyomoto turned around and threw a punch. The huge rocks along the way instantly shattered. The audience facing him held their breath, as if they had been hit by a huge wave.

“Ugh!” The new challenger from the second group was pressed against the wall of the arena by the strong wind.

“Next,” Minamoto Kiyomoto didn’t even look and turned to ask the audience.

    “I’ll do it!”

It was from the third group, wearing silver armor formed by the “Holy Armor Curse.” The other party was also good at body curses.

The two of them instantly collided, fists and feet flying.

After fighting for a full two or three minutes, Minamoto Kiyomoto finally found an opportunity. He suddenly exerted force, took a step back, rushed forward, and jumped up with a kick.

With a “bang,” it hit that person’s face.

That person was directly kicked away and embedded in the wall of the arena. The mask shattered like porcelain.

Minamoto Kiyomoto looked at that face. It was Kikukawa, the cultivator who had fled at the last minute on the ‘Hakone-go’.

The third group was in an uproar.

Kikukawa was a cultivator who had participated in twelve battles!
Originally, they thought that in this newcomer battle, their third group could catch them by surprise, defeat the first and second groups, and take first place. They didn’t expect that in just two or three minutes, they would be defeated by the ninth group, which had always been at the bottom.

“Next,” everyone heard Minamoto Kiyomoto say again.

Then a few more people went down. They were either deep in divine power, or had powerful curses, or had strange curses, or had divine weapons, but they were all defeated by Minamoto Kiyomoto.

Not only that, but in a row of eight people, not a single one could injure Minamoto Kiyomoto.

“Ninth group, Tsugumi, eleven defenses!” the referee shouted.

“Ah—” The ninth group, besides screaming, didn’t know what to say.

As a group that was always at the bottom, they could actually get into the top ten, and even take first place?

With such a large amount of funds, and only a few of them, how much would each person get!
The other people didn’t care about the funds. They only cared about who this kid in sportswear and a fox mask was.

To say that the other groups might have old members pretending to be newcomers, but the ninth group only had a few people, and one had died this year. It was like herding only one cow. There was no way to make a mistake.

“Are there any more uncles and aunties coming down?” Minamoto Kiyomoto asked. The arena at his feet was already like a tattered cloth.

The scene was quiet for a moment. The seventh group looked at the sixth group, the sixth group looked at the fifth group, and the fifth group looked at the eighth group. No one went down.

“We won! We won! We won!” The ninth group raised their arms and cheered.

Minamoto Kiyomoto, who was standing there in sportswear, was radiant for a moment.

“How wonderful!” Sanae Sara took out a wet hand. “Haruko, you go.”

“Yes!” Among the members of the first group, who should have been all men, a female voice suddenly sounded.

A light yellow divine power shot up into the sky, drew an arc in the air, and landed on the sunken arena.

It was a petite short-haired girl, wearing a kendo uniform and holding a naginata.

“Oh—” Minamoto Kiyomoto exclaimed in surprise.

He put his hand on his forehead and sized up this long weapon. It was at least 3.5 meters long by visual estimation.

A naginata was not rare. Some high schools even had a naginata club, but Minamoto Kiyomoto had attended an ordinary high school in Shikoku. Not to mention a naginata club, they didn’t even have a kendo club.

“Tsukiyama-ryu, Hirano Haruko,” the short-haired girl introduced herself.

“Hello, big sister,” Minamoto Kiyomoto quickly bowed. “Jushin-ryu, Tsugumi.”

    “Jushin-ryu?”

    “I fight however I want. I call this Jushin-ryu.”

    “Insolent!” Hirano Haruko scolded.

A crescent moon flashed past, and the two of them fought together.

This guy is definitely not an ordinary person—the more they fought, the deeper Hirano Haruko felt.

The naginata in her hand stabbed out from various angles that should have been absolutely unavoidable, but they were all dodged at the last moment by the smallest angle.

The tip of the blade, like a long snake, bit at the other party, creating a series of sonic booms, but it couldn’t even touch the corner of the other party’s clothes. It was all dodged nimbly.

    “Tsukiyama-ryu, Ichijo!”

The naginata once again drew a beautiful trajectory, wrapped in divine power and a hurricane, and was more swift and vicious than any previous attack.

With a “boom,” Minamoto Kiyomoto was smashed into a pile of rubble.

His palm, which had gone through eleven battles without any damage, had a line of blood drawn on it.

    “Good job!”

“As expected of the only woman in the first group! She really has skills!”

    “Kill him! Kill him!”

The audience was extremely excited, and shouts were heard everywhere.

“It seems that’s all there is to it,” Hirano Haruko held the naginata high, its blade sharp and buzzing.

“You’re cheating with a divine weapon! If you have the guts, don’t use a weapon!” Rabbit said angrily.

“Little brother, let’s surrender. It’s enough, it’s enough. We’re in the top ten!” Fatty shouted.

“Slap!” Rabbit slapped his head fiercely.

    “Slap!” Yuka also slapped him.

“Slap! Slap!” The monk, Horse Face, and Monkey all slapped his head.

On the arena, the wound on Minamoto Kiyomoto’s palm healed in an instant, but it was useless.

He had already made it clear in the last attack that he couldn’t win against that naginata with the “Vajra Glass Curse.”

But, besides these, he had more important things to care about.

Minamoto Kiyomoto carefully patted the dust off his sportswear.

“Don’t get my clothes dirty. My mom will scold me when she washes them,” he complained.

Hirano Haruko sneered, “So you’re a mama’s boy. You joined the ninth group to protect your old mother!”

This was a tactic to disturb his mentality.

    “…”

“Go back and drink milk!” someone from the second group mocked.

“Hahaha!” Besides the ninth group, everyone burst out laughing.

Minamoto Kiyomoto stood on the spot, motionless.

Hirano Haruko suddenly lowered her naginata, pointed its tip at Minamoto Kiyomoto, and her face became solemn.

“Big sister,” Minamoto Kiyomoto’s right index and middle fingers were brought together and slowly raised to his nose. “Don’t underestimate me.”

Hirano Haruko’s eyes instantly narrowed into a line.

It was unknown if it was an illusion, but she seemed to see a strange smile on that fox mask.

“Is that kid going to use a curse?” The audience looked at Minamoto Kiyomoto’s gesture and said with surprise.

“Impossible! How old is this kid? His body curse is so strong. How could he have time to practice other curses to be stronger than his body curse!” someone said with certainty.

Hirano Haruko’s temples were dripping with sweat. She couldn’t hear what everyone was saying at all. She was locked by a powerful qi.

“Nine Paths of the Underworld, Serpentine Prison of the Netherworld,” as he slowly recited the curse, Minamoto Kiyomoto’s divine power began to boil.

A strong wind howled. Although they were in a deep sea trench, everyone felt that the sky was dark.

A green light shot up from his body, then exploded with a “boom,” transforming into countless snake-shaped demons and ghosts.

These yokai filled the entire sky of the arena, twisting and screaming, looking at Hirano Haruko, drooling and sticking out their tongues.

They were just waiting for Minamoto Kiyomoto’s order to immediately dismember her.

“This is?!” Everyone was in disbelief.

“It’s the group leader’s curse, the Nine Paths of the Underworld!”

The foundation of the Shinto religion—the “Nine Paths of the Underworld,” the divine ability of the “Underworld Demon Dragon” that had ravaged Japan in the past.

Everyone looked at Itomi Sayaka. After the death of the previous leader of the ninth group, the only one who knew the “Nine Paths of the Underworld: Serpentine Prison of the Netherworld” was her!

“So it’s the next group leader candidate,” Sanae Sara’s originally surprised face smiled. “No wonder he’s so powerful. Looking at the proficiency of the curse, he must have been cultivated for a long time.”

Itomi Sayaka did not deny it.

In fact, she had only given this curse to Minamoto Kiyomoto ten days ago.

On the field, Hirano Haruko’s hair was soaked with sweat.

“Tsukiyama-ryu!” she swung her naginata, her voice sharp. Her petite body seemed to have become one with the sword. “Rokujo!”

Minamoto Kiyomoto slowly raised his joined middle and index fingers, his eyes suddenly sharp.

The demons roared, the ghosts shrieked, and a hurricane swept across, swooping down.

The stench was overwhelming. Hirano Haruko seemed to have returned to her childhood. Every time she swung her naginata, she had to use all her strength.

After just a dozen or so times, her naginata could no longer move.

The next moment, she was submerged by the demons and ghosts.

She subconsciously closed her eyes and gritted her teeth, but the pain did not come.

Hirano Haruko slowly opened her eyes. The yokai were twisting and screaming in frustration, slowly retreating.

She turned her head to look at the kid in sportswear. That guy wasn’t looking at her.

“Uncles and aunties, big sisters and big brothers,” he asked everyone, “is there anyone else who wants to come down?”

The magnificent coral temple was silent, with only the shrieking of the yokai.
