Chapter Index

    Hell.

    The desolate plains of hell.

Shen Ye put on his vampire cape, turned into Baxter, then touched his ring and released two heads.

One was Ferran, the person in charge of the Ten Thousand Skeletons in Hell.

The other was the head of the team killed near the underground waterfall in the Great Tomb.

“Ferran, what would make Nine Aspects happy to receive from Tian Luo?”

    Shen Ye asked.

One of the heads opened its eyes: “We collected some treasures in Hell, and I hid them all in a secret place, intending to present them to Lord Tian Luo later.”

“If you intercept these treasures, Lord Nine Aspects should be pleased.”

    Reasonable!

Shen Ye then asked the other head:

“Look how well they’re doing in Hell. After fighting in the Great Tomb for so long, don’t you have anything you can offer to Lord Nine Aspects?”

The other head also began to speak:

“When we came down, we discovered a tomb filled with ancient zombies trapped inside. Lord Nine Aspects would like these as food.”

“It’s widely known that those he devours become one of his new professions.”

“And he is keen on collecting ancient professions.”

Shen Ye was overjoyed and immediately asked for the details of the tomb. He then asked the first head where the treasures were hidden.

After clarifying these two matters, he no longer waited and directly summoned the Ghost Fire Motorcycle.

“Killing one person in ten steps, traveling a thousand miles without leaving a trace.”

The Ghost Fire Motorcycle drew a fast-moving red streak across the vast land.

    About twenty minutes later.

The motorcycle stopped in front of a towering white mountain.

According to what the head had said, Shen Ye quickly found the hidden corner in a rock forest.

    Digging into the ground.

Several zhangs down, there was indeed a heavy iron box.

The iron box emitted powerful magical fluctuations, clearly protected and not easily opened.

Shen Ye gladly put it into his ring.

There was no need to open it; this was exactly what he wanted—

It was perfect for Nine Aspects to see that he was genuinely working and not engaging in any corruption.

    One thing done!

    The next second.

Shen Ye felt something and looked up.

The sky was filled with human heads.

Countless heads fell from the sky, completely surrounding him.

Nine Aspects, picking his teeth, walked out from the cluster of heads.

“My war agent, you seem to have grown much stronger!”

    He scrutinized Shen Ye.

“Lord,” Shen Ye bowed slightly, “I have completed some tasks.”

“You mean starting a war? But I haven’t noticed any large-scale battles in Hell,” Nine Aspects said with a grin.

Although he was smiling, a faint murderous intent emanated from him.

All the heads stared at Shen Ye, as if ready to pounce at any moment and devour him, skin and bones.

    — You were the one who talked about the proxy war, so what have you done?

    Where’s the good stuff?

Shen Ye’s expression remained unchanged as he said seriously:

“Lord, I used the source of disaster you gave me to go to the Death Planet, and I had quite a good harvest.”

“Ah? Really?” Nine Aspects was taken aback, asking with a dubious expression.

“Indeed.” Shen Ye said with a decisive tone.

He took out the sealed box.

“This is from the Ten Thousand Skeletons Valley, a hidden force belonging to Lord Tian Luo, and these are the treasures they collected in Hell.”

The box was placed directly in front of Nine Aspects.

Nine Aspects was still doubtful, but then he looked at the box and couldn’t help but laugh:

“No mistake, the sealing magic on this box belongs to Tian Luo.”

“It can stop others, but it can’t stop me!”

Nine Aspects placed his hand on the box and pulled it open with force.

    *Clack!*

    The box was opened directly.

There was nothing else in the box, only a black apple.

“Lord, I apologize, I didn’t know there was only this thing in the box.”

    Shen Ye quickly apologized.

“It’s fine,” Nine Aspects laughed, “This is indeed what Tian Luo needs, and it’s a specialty of Hell, but now it’s in my hands.”

He reached out and took the black apple, putting it away.

“Not bad, you’re quite effective as an agent,” Nine Aspects commented.

“Lord, I haven’t finished reporting yet,” Shen Ye said with a smile.

    Nine Aspects looked startled again.

    There’s more?

Shen Ye wiped his ring and took out two heads.

“This one is the pawn Tian Luo planted in the Valley of Ten Thousand Skeletons. I killed him and kept his head to offer to you—”

“And this one here is the leader responsible for infiltrating that great tomb. I killed him too.”

The leaders of two of Tian Luo’s teams were killed!

Nine Aspects looked at the two heads, recognized them briefly, and nodded slightly:

“Indeed, I sense Tian Luo’s power aura, and I’ve even seen one of them before.”

The corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curl up slightly.

The more miserable Tian Luo’s subordinates, the less likely Tian Luo’s plan would succeed.

The thought of his opponent suffering brought a wave of pleasure to Nine Aspects.

“Oh, and I got some information when I killed him.”

    Shen Ye continued.

    “What information?” Nine Aspects asked.

Shen Ye then described the matter of the ancient zombies confined in the Great Tomb, and also explained in detail the location and the marks he made.

    — This cannot be faked!

After all, a powerful being like Nine Aspects only needs to take a look to immediately discern the truth.

Nine Aspects obviously thought of this too.

    “Hah hah hah hah hah!”

He couldn’t help but laugh uproariously.

“Baxter, Baxter, as my war agent, you’ve really done a brilliant job!”

This time, before Shen Ye could say anything, the skulls behind Nine Aspects all chimed in with voices of praise.

    “You flatter me.”

    Shen Ye said.

    — First, he presented treasures, enemy heads, and the hiding place of ancient professions.

    Every single one was real.

Every gift was a delightful and refreshing reward.

They proved that Shen Ye had not been slacking and had been diligently working.

    This couldn’t be faked!

Nine Aspects was ridiculously powerful and extremely shrewd.

Only genuine things could impress him.

    Being clever was utterly useless!

    In fact.

One of the skulls behind Nine Aspects had been staring at Shen Ye, never making a sound from beginning to end.

    — The lie detection spell had been working the whole time.

If he had uttered even one false word, it would not have escaped the observation of that skull.

    But—

The other party was really getting things done.

    — Not a hint of slacking or cutting corners.

    That was quite remarkable.

    At this moment.

Nine Aspects felt he had a discerning eye for people.

Tian Luo, you have so many subordinates, yet nothing gets done. One person I casually picked killed them, stole treasures, and stole information.

With that kind of insight, you still want to contend with me?

    Right…

Those ancient zombies are interesting. I should go see if there are any rare ancient professions among them whose traditions have been broken.

Thinking of this, Nine Aspects’ heart itched.

    Should he go?

    Yes, he should.

And he could also check if Baxter was lying to him.

    …Isn’t that obvious?

Would he dare to lie to me about something like this?

    Just then.

Shen Ye paused, looking down at the ground, and said respectfully:

“Just as I keep presenting you with spoils of war, and these matters I’ve handled as your agent—”

“I feel I still have a lot of room for improvement in my work. I hope you will give me more time, and I will do even better.”

This sentence immediately convinced Nine Aspects.

How could he not believe it?

    — Facts speak louder than words.

So the conversation returned to the previous matter.

    Nine Aspects almost killed someone!

But as a subordinate, Shen Ye had actually done exceptionally well.

Nine Aspects scratched the back of his head and asked guiltily:

“Is there anything that requires my personal intervention?”

“Indeed, there is,” Shen Ye said.

    Nine Aspects was startled.

This guy never gave him any trouble in his work, so why this time—

    “What is it?”

    Nine Aspects grew curious.

Shen Ye feigned nervousness, looking left and right.

Nine Aspects understood instantly, waved his hand, and the overwhelming number of heads completely surrounded them, forming a room.

“Lord, Tian Luo is dying,” Shen Ye whispered.

Nine Aspects trembled, an astonishing killing intent erupted from him, and he roared:

“If you dare to lie to me—”

“Lord, I would never dare to deceive you. In fact, Tai Yan and Mo Jiahui both know about it; only you, being in Hell, are unaware,” Shen Ye said.

Nine Aspects’ clenched hands loosened slightly.

If only this subordinate knew, then he would kill him to prevent the message from leaking to others.

    But—

The current situation was that if it weren’t for this subordinate, he would have remained in the dark.

    “What exactly is the situation?”

    Nine Aspects immediately asked.

“Bugs! Emperor species, cosmic giant bugs!” Shen Ye said.

He quickly summarized the matter, omitting the beginning and end.

Nine Aspects fell into a daze.

The heads behind him, however, excitedly whispered and gossiped among themselves.

    After a long while.

Nine Aspects finally spoke, asking in a deep voice:

“You just said… what did you mean by something that requires my personal intervention?”

“Lord Mo Jiahui is still in the tomb, and Tian Luo has returned. Lord, go kill him and eat him!” Shen Ye said.

    From all directions.

All the heads stared fixedly at Shen Ye.

Nine Aspects held his breath, his hands clenched again, then loosened again.

Shen Ye, however, seemed unaware that he had hovered several times at the edge of death, and he still said calmly:

“If Your Lord cannot make up your mind, please give me some support. I will go to the Nightmare World to launch a proxy war for Your Lord.”

“…What do you want to do?” Nine Aspects asked.

“Tian Luo is about to die! Lord! I will naturally go to the Nightmare World to seize advantages and then return to offer them to you!”

“He has been operating in the Nightmare World for so long, he must have many treasures.”

Shen Ye’s voice was cold and emotionless, yet full of temptation:

“This matter is not glorious, Lord, you certainly cannot do it yourself. Leave it to me!”

    Nine Aspects remained silent.

Shen Ye continued: “If Your Lord cannot make up your mind to eliminate Tian Luo, and is also unwilling to snatch the treasures of the Nightmare World, then it’s fine. I can just stay in Hell and muddle through.”

Nine Aspects still did not speak.

But the dozens of heads behind him, and even the countless heads in the entire room from all directions, all began to clamor.

Such a good opportunity, once in a thousand years, how could it be wasted!

    After a good while.

Nine Aspects finally spoke, asking in a low voice:

“Are there any unusual movements from Tian Luo’s other subordinates?”

“Lord, I killed so many of Tian Luo’s subordinates in the Great Tomb, and no new enemies have come to seek revenge on me,” Shen Ye said.

—Actually, there was one more piece of news he didn’t mention.

Xu Xingke first went to help Sword Maiden, and then came to the Great Tomb.

Sword Maiden’s opponent must have suffered a loss.

    —Tai Yan!

Its situation must also not be good!

But Shen Ye didn’t intend to say anything.

If Nine Aspects truly wanted to kill Tian Luo—

When he returned to the Five Desires World, and unexpectedly found that even Tai Yan was injured, he would certainly no longer have any scruples.

But if Nine Aspects lacked the courage, he could “go investigate the situation on the Death Planet,” and then return again, using the matter of Tai Yan to add more weight.

Now it was up to Nine Aspects to decide.

    He didn’t wait long.

    “Baxter…”

    “Lord, I await your command.”

Nine Aspects’ eyes were bloodshot, the muscles on his face distorted from excessive effort, and a palpable killing intent emanated from his entire being.

His voice resonated among the dense human heads:

“This time, we’re going for a big one.”
