The adventure in the ‘Gate of Distant Mountains’ secret realm was over.

Facing the fallen petrified lizard’s corpse, the group spent a whole day carefully processing it, as it was a rare Tier 3 creature, and its body was full of treasures.

“We can’t take the flesh, Hylial, do you still have the Demonic Blood Vine seeds? How about transforming it directly into Fresh Blood Red Fruit?” Bad Apple and Karl discussed for a while before making this decision.

“No problem,” Hylial nodded, then placed the seeds inside the dead lizard.

“Oh, right, don’t touch the lizard’s eyeballs, they’re very useful,” Karl remembered something.

In the afternoon, after cleaning off the excess flesh, Bad Apple carefully peeled off the scales, then took a look.

“It’s a pity that this guy’s scales are of average quality, similar to some Tier 2 creatures.”

“If it were really that strong, it would be difficult for Lia to defeat it,” a companion jokingly remarked.

“Haha, you’re right. It’s already good enough that we survived,” Bad Apple rarely expressed such sentiment.

In the evening, the spoils of war were all harvested and laid out by the bonfire.

[Petrified Lizard Eyeball] (Tier 3 – Excellent): Contains the effect of ‘Stupefying Gaze’, which can be used for certain special creations or as sacrifices in special rituals.

[Petrified Lizard Scaly Skin] (Tier 2 – Excellent): Tough scales that can resist most attacks of the same tier.

[Petrified Lizard Bone] (Tier 3 – Good): Can be used for ‘Dead Ember’ spells or for creating undead creatures.

“Each eyeball is worth about 300 Gold Coins, so two are 600 Gold Coins. All the scales combined are about 100 Gold Coins, and the bones are about 200 Gold Coins. That’s a total of 900 Gold Coins,” Bad Apple noted.

“Considering that Hylial saved us and also single-handedly killed it, these should all go to Hylial. Do you have any objections?”

“No objections.” The other two members didn’t mind, feeling lucky to have survived this time.

“Regarding these materials, is Hylial planning to sell them or keep them herself?” Bad Apple asked the girl who was cooking dinner.

“These… how should they be dealt with, Captain?” She couldn’t think of anything for a moment, so she directly asked.

“The eyeballs are quite precious, I suggest you keep them for now. As for the other parts, you can sell them directly.”

“As for the bones, if Karl needs any, he can buy a portion from Hylial.”

Karl on the other side thought for a moment, then replied, “Just give me two.” He didn’t need much at the moment.

After distributing the lizard, next up was the target: ‘Stone Mist Water’.

Due to the previous battle and the lizard dying in the pool, the original Stone Mist Water was heavily contaminated. In the end, only a small bottle of relatively clean water was extracted.

“This much is enough. I’ll give it to an alchemist and pay them to purify it further, then we can make ‘Mist Aura Elixir’.”

Afterward, everyone tallied their other gains from along the way, including fruits and hunted prey, which amounted to about 100 Gold Coins.

“It wasn’t a wasted trip, and we achieved our initial goal,” Bad Apple said, settling onto a blanket with satisfaction after finishing his ledger.

“Our biggest luck in coming to Beig Town this time was finding Lia that day and having her join our team.”

Hearing this, the other two nodded repeatedly, saying that if it weren’t for Lia, they would have truly gotten lost in the mountains this time.

Praised so much, Hylial was a little embarrassed and shared her feelings.

“Actually, I’ve learned a lot from everyone’s experience. After all, it’s my first time adventuring, and there’s a lot I don’t understand.” This was indeed true; if it weren’t for the guidance of the other team members along the way, she would have taken many detours and fallen into many pits. “Alright, there’s no need to be so polite now.” Bad Apple flipped over and stood up.

“Here, this is for you,” he handed her a light veil.

[Mist Veil] (Tier 2 – Mist Shadow): A very thin veil that does not obstruct breathing but can conceal one’s face, making one’s appearance and demeanor hazy. It also possesses a certain ability to mask one’s presence. (Concealment +3, Conceal Presence +2)

“I noticed you don’t like going to crowded places. This might make you feel more comfortable.”

“The captain is so generous this time, directly giving out equipment,” Yarn commented with a chuckle.

“Let me see if there’s anything I can give Hylial.” He sat aside, searching through his memories and belongings.

Meanwhile, Karl walked over and handed Hylial a recipe and some powder.

“Many of my things aren’t suitable for Hylial, but you might find this useful.”

[Revealing Powder Recipe]: Can be used to make Revealing Powder, which forces ghosts, invisible creatures, and chameleonic creatures to reveal their forms.

[Revealing Powder] (Good): Made from Glowing Mushroom, Pine Powder, and Sparkling Grass as raw materials, it can make hidden creatures visible.

“Thank you.” Receiving it, Hylial placed it in her small satchel beside her.

Yarn searched unsuccessfully, then sheepishly rubbed his head. “I don’t have anything suitable as a gift right now. I’ll give it to Hylial next time.”

“It’s alright, there’s no need to be so polite,” she hadn’t expected any gifts anyway.

“Of course, it must be given. After all, Hylial saved our lives. Even teammates shouldn’t let it pass with a simple word,” Yarn shook his head.

“Just tell me an address later, Hylial, and I’ll have someone deliver it to you.”

“Then send it to the Woodland Association in Glittering Gold Plain. I usually live there.”

    “Okay.”

The four then spent a peaceful and comfortable night. The next day, they packed their belongings and began their journey back.

The return journey was just as long, taking them another three days to reach Beig Town. Adding in the two days spent at the petrified lizard site, the entire trip took eight days.

“After this, we’ll need a good period of recuperation.” Due to spending too much time in the secret realm, everyone had suffered varying degrees of distortion erosion, reaching a dangerous threshold.

“At least a month before we can go out again. The captain, after getting the Stone Mist Water, will probably be busy with his advancement. Our team might have to pause for a while.”

“Then let’s meet again next time.” Although there was some reluctance, everyone understood that it might be half a year before they organized another adventure.

“Alright, no more sad goodbyes. Later, we’ll find Bona, have a big meal at her place, and share our strange and thrilling journey with her.”

“Oh, and of course, we can’t forget our main character, Lia. We’ll have to praise her to Bona, haha~”

With that, laughter echoed within the team again. Only the black-haired girl on horseback looked a little embarrassed, raising her head to gaze at the mountain wilderness behind them.

Thick fog enveloped it. The dangers experienced just a few days ago now felt like a distant past.

Was this what adventure was like? Just a few days, yet it felt like a very long time.
