Chapter Index

Upon hearing this, Yun Yun nodded.

“In my heart, Teacher has never been just a Master; he is the heaven and earth on my path of cultivation.”

“Since I entered the Yunlan Sect, it was Teacher who personally taught me, step by step, from an ignorant young girl into a Disciple capable of standing on her own.”

“He taught me how to breathe Dou Qi, granted me Wind-style Dou Skills, and etched the glory and responsibility of the Sect into my bones and blood, bit by bit.”

“In my eyes, Master was always so steady and majestic, an unshakeable figure atop the peak of Yunlan Mountain, an existence that the entire Jia Ma Empire had to look up to.”

“I revered him like a deity and relied on him like a mountain.”

“As long as Teacher was there, I felt that even if the sky fell, someone would be there to hold it up.”

“The Sect’s rules and Master’s words were the standards for my actions. I have always been obedient and respectful, doing my utmost not to disappoint him, Cultivating with all my might just to one day support the Yunlan Sect and live up to his years of nurturing and trust.”

“But now… for the sake of a man, I left the Yunlan Sect without permission and left him.”

“Over the past few years, I have wandered everywhere with you and seen a world completely different from the Douqi Continent. My cultivation has also progressed by leaps and bounds, but whenever the night is quiet and I think of Teacher and the Yunlan Sect, my heart is filled with guilt and unease.”

“I’m afraid of his disappointment, afraid of his anger, and even more afraid that he will no longer acknowledge me as his Disciple.”

“I don’t even know how to face him or how to explain all this,” Yun Yun said to Yu Xian, her eyes filled with complex emotions.

Yu Xian pulled Yun Yun into his arms with heartache; it was indeed his scheme that had taken her away in the beginning.

“Don’t worry, he won’t blame you. You must know that you are now a Dou Zun level existence, let alone me. You will be the backbone of the Yunlan Sect in the future.”

“The Sect Master of the Yunlan Sect doesn’t have to be you. At worst, I’ll help him increase his cultivation and let him continue being the Sect Master.”

“If the Yunlan Sect faces trouble in the future, we won’t stand idly by; we’ll just help them solve it,” Yu Xian comforted.

Hearing this, Yun Yun thought that this was the only way.

She couldn’t bear to leave the Yunlan Sect, but she was even more reluctant to leave Yu Xian. Moreover… Yun Yun subconsciously touched her stomach. This was also why she wanted to come back; she didn’t want to leave any regrets.

Seeing Yun Yun’s movement, Yu Xian’s gaze froze, and then he showed wild joy. His Divine Thought swept over, and indeed! Yun Yun was pregnant!

However, it had been less than two months, so there were no reactions yet, which was why he hadn’t noticed.

“Yun’er, you’re pregnant!” Yu Xian said happily.

Yun Yun nodded shyly, her face flushing red.

“Then I will be even less likely to let anyone take you away from me, not even your Master. If he dares to stop us, I’ll beat him!” As Yu Xian said this, a trace of overbearingness flashed in his eyes, which then turned into complete tenderness as he gently stroked Yun Yun’s lower abdomen.

“Our child cannot be without a father. Don’t worry, I’m here for everything,” Yu Xian said softly.

Feeling the warmth of Yu Xian’s palm and the determination in his words, most of the unease in Yun Yun’s heart dissipated. She leaned into his arms and nodded.

The two did not delay any longer and sped up. Soon, the majestic mountain gate of the Yunlan Sect appeared before them.

Surrounded by mist and the cries of cranes, it still looked the same as in her memory, but at this moment, in Yun Yun’s eyes, there was a bit more complexity from the anxiety of returning home.

“Let’s go.” Yu Xian took Yun Yun’s hand and took a step forward, landing in front of the Yunlan Sect’s mountain gate.

The Disciples guarding the mountain were stunned to see Yun Yun, then their faces showed shock as they hurried forward to salute: “Disciples pay respects to the Sect Master!”

Yun Yun nodded slightly, her heart filled with mixed emotions. “Rise.”

Then she led Yu Xian into the Yunlan Sect, ignoring the strange looks from the Disciples.

Yun Yun took Yu Xian directly back to her residence, letting him rest there first while she went to handle the Sect’s affairs.

Although Yu Xian was worried about Yun Yun, she gave him a reassuring look; she could handle her own affairs.

“If you encounter any difficulties, don’t forget that you still have your husband here. You’re about to become a mother; you must consider your husband and child, understand?” Before Yun Yun could leave, Yu Xian pulled her back and urged.

Yun Yun’s eyes reddened slightly, and she nodded vigorously. “I know, don’t worry.”

She gently broke free from Yu Xian’s hand and turned to walk toward the Sect Master Hall.

Along the way, many Yunlan Sect Disciples were both surprised and delighted to see her, coming forward one after another to salute and greet her. The familiar title of “Sect Master” gave Yun Yun mixed feelings—a sense of belonging, yet also a bit of estrangement from being away for so long.

Arriving outside the Sect Master Hall, she took a deep breath and straightened her robes before pushing the door open and entering.

Inside the hall, several Elders were sitting and discussing matters. Seeing Yun Yun enter, they all stood up abruptly, their faces filled with shock and disbelief.

A white-haired Elder at the head asked with a trembling voice, “Sect Master? You… you’re back?”

Yun Yun walked to the main seat and sat down. “Yes, I’m back. It was my fault for making the Elders worry.”

“It’s good that the Sect Master is back.” The Elders all expressed their relief, their hearts finally settling.

Yun Yun began to ask the Elders about what had happened in the Yunlan Sect since she left.

Yu Xian’s Divine Sense followed Yun Yun closely; everything that happened to her was in his sight. After returning to the Yunlan Sect and reclaiming her status as Sect Master, her Aura was revealed. It wasn’t particularly noticeable at home, but seeing it now, it had a unique charm.

While Yu Xian kept a thread of Divine Sense on Yun Yun, he also swept his Divine Sense across the entire Yunlan Sect.

Although the Yunlan Sect was the number one Sect in the Jia Ma Empire, it really couldn’t compare to his Yun Tian Sect; the cultivation of the Disciples was too low.

Yu Xian quickly found the place where Yun Shan was in seclusion. With a curl of his lips, he vanished from Yun Yun’s residence and appeared in front of Yun Shan.

Some things Yun Yun worried about, he would solve at the source. Yun Yun was not suited for excessive worrying right now.

That was the mother of his child!

Yun Shan was in the middle of Cultivating in seclusion when a person suddenly appeared before him. He was shocked and stood up abruptly from his meditation mat, his Dou Qi surging instantly as he shouted sternly, “Who is it! How dare you trespass into my place of seclusion!”

He could feel no Dou Qi fluctuations from the young man in front of him, yet he gave him an unfathomable sense of danger, as if the other party could crush him with a single wave of his hand.

This was a feeling he had never experienced from anyone before.

Yu Xian stood with his hands behind his back, looking at Yun Shan with interest.

This was Yun Yun’s Master. He hadn’t been corrupted by the Soul Hall yet; although there was majesty between his brows, he also carried the air of a high-level expert of the Righteous Path.

He spoke indifferently, his voice not loud but clearly reaching Yun Shan’s ears with a sense of pressure, “You are Yun Shan? Who I am is not important. What matters is that I am going to marry your Disciple, Yun Yun.”
