Chapter Index

The Immortal Sword charged straight toward the mountain gate of the Da Luo Sword Sect, instantly triggering the Protective Mountain Formation woven from tens of thousands of sword shadows.

Countless refined strands of Sword Qi erupted from various points of the mountain gate, shooting toward the Immortal Sword like a torrential rain in an attempt to intercept it.

However, the radiance around the Immortal Sword flared up as the Rain Sword Intent transformed into an invisible barrier, blocking all the Sword Qi. Then, the sword’s body vibrated slightly, emitting a clear and melodious sword hum. That sound seemed to contain some kind of heavenly principle, causing the operation of the Protective Mountain Formation to stagnate for a moment.

Immediately after, the Immortal Sword’s speed did not decrease. Like a bolt of lightning streaking across the sky, it directly pierced through the defensive Restrictions of the mountain gate and flew toward the depths of the Da Luo Sword Sect.

At the mountain gate, the Disciples on duty saw the Immortal Sword break through the formation and enter. They immediately shouted sternly while quickly striking the golden alarm bell.

The dull tolling of the bell echoed through Da Luo Sword Mountain, alarming many Cultivators within the Sect. One after another, powerful auras rose from various Sword Halls, converging toward the direction from which the Immortal Sword was flying.

“Who dares to trespass into my Da Luo Sword Sect!” A stern shout came from the depths of the Da Luo Sword Sect.

Soon after, an old man dressed in a Profound-Colored Sword Robe stepped through the air. His hair and beard were completely white, his eyes were as sharp as swords, and his body radiated the cultivation fluctuations of the Glimpse of Rebirth Stage. He was one of the Elders of the Da Luo Sword Sect.

The old man’s gaze was like lightning, firmly locking onto the Immortal Sword weaving through the Sect. He growled with a solemn expression, “Which insignificant scoundrel dares to act wildly in my Da Luo Sword Sect!”

Before his voice had even faded, he sacrificed a pitch-black longsword. Runes flickered on the blade, carrying a grim killing intent as it slashed directly toward the Rain Immortal Sword.

The Immortal Sword seemed to possess intelligence. Feeling the attack, it suddenly veered back. The sword’s body shimmered with brilliant light as the Rain Sword Intent transformed into tens of thousands of water curtains, neutralizing the old man’s attacks layer by layer. At the same time, the sword hum became increasingly high-pitched, as if provoking the entire Da Luo Sword Sect.

The old man was completely infuriated by the Immortal Sword’s actions. With a shake of his black sword, his sword techniques suddenly became incredibly sharp. Sword shadows overlapped one another, forming a massive sword net that shrouded toward the Immortal Sword.

He knew well that this sword had an extraordinary origin; being able to easily break through the Sect’s Protective Mountain Formation, it was definitely no ordinary object. If he allowed it to run wild within the Sect, where would the Da Luo Sword Sect’s face be?

However, the agility of the Immortal Sword far exceeded his imagination. At the moment the sword net was about to close, its form flickered, and it broke out of the encirclement, continuing to fly toward the core area of the Sect.

Along the way, the Disciples and Elders who tried to intercept it were all shaken back by the sharp Sword Intent it emitted. No one could withstand its brilliance.

Finally, a sword shadow flew out from the core area of the Sect, colliding head-on with the Immortal Sword, forcing it to stop before it immediately turned back.

Immediately after, the Heavenly Marquis chased the Immortal Sword out from the core area.

He felt the sword looked a bit familiar, but for a moment, he couldn’t remember where he had seen it. However, it clearly looked like a good sword. Since it had delivered itself to his doorstep, he wouldn’t stand on ceremony!

Thus, he chased the Immortal Sword to the outside of the Da Luo Sword Sect. From a distance, he saw a man and a woman standing in mid-air outside the Da Luo Sword Sect.

The man was dressed in black, his posture as upright as a pine tree. His face was handsome and gentle, yet his eyes were as deep as an abyss, as if they contained the endless starry sky. The woman was dressed in green, her temperament cold and transcendent, her appearance peerlessly beautiful. Her entire body radiated a sharp Sword Intent originating from the same source as the Immortal Sword.

The two stood side by side, looking like a perfect couple. They seemed out of place with the sharp and domineering nature of this Sword Mountain, yet they naturally possessed a pressure that made people dare not look directly at them.

The Heavenly Marquis’s pupils constricted. He instantly recognized that this sword was the very Rain Immortal Sword he had once fought over with Tian Mozi in the Rain Immortal Realm, as well as these two people!

The cultivation Realms of those two were worlds apart compared to when they were in the Rain Immortal Realm.

Back in the Rain Immortal Realm, one was at the Glimpse of Rebirth Stage and the other was at the Sui Nie Stage. But now, the aura they emitted was unfathomable. It was the Sui Nie Stage pressure of someone who had completely mastered the laws and whose Physical Body could tear through the Void Realm. Of the two, one was at the Sui Nie Middle Stage, and the other was at the Sui Nie Late Stage Great Perfection.

Stormy waves surged in the Heavenly Marquis’s heart. To have such a terrifying improvement in such a short time—the Opportunity and strength of these two far exceeded his imagination.

His hand gripping the sword hilt tightened slightly, a trace of wariness flashing in his eyes.

“Fellow Daoists, why have you intruded into my Da Luo Sword Sect?” The Heavenly Marquis suppressed the shock in his heart, remaining outwardly calm, his tone carrying a hint of probing and vigilance.

He knew well that the two before him were by no means easy to deal with. Especially that man; clearly only at the Sui Nie Middle Stage, he gave off a feeling even more dangerous than the Sui Nie Late Stage Great Perfection, as if his body contained power capable of destroying heaven and earth.

“Didn’t you covet the Immortal Sword? So I brought it over for you to see.” Yu Xian beckoned the Immortal Sword, letting it circle in front of the Heavenly Marquis a few times before it returned to Qing Shuang’s side.

The Heavenly Marquis’s hair stood on end. He understood that these two had come to settle old scores! Either one of these two could wipe out the Da Luo Sword Sect with a single finger.

“Seniors, back in the Immortal Realm, it was this Junior’s fault. I should not have coveted the Immortal Sword, nor should I have made enemies of you two Seniors. This Junior knows his mistake and hopes Seniors will be magnanimous and spare everyone in the Da Luo Sword Sect.” As he spoke, the Heavenly Marquis actually bowed deeply to Yu Xian and Qing Shuang, adopting an extremely humble posture.

He was very clear that with the other party’s strength, if they really wanted to take action, the Da Luo Sword Sect wouldn’t even have the qualification to resist. Now, the only way was to lower his posture and pray the other party would show mercy.

“Tsk tsk, giving in just like that! If you had known this day would come, why did you act that way back then? In the Rain Immortal Realm, when you and Tian Mozi teamed up to snatch the Immortal Sword, you didn’t look like this.” Yu Xian raised an eyebrow, his tone carrying a bit of playfulness.

Qing Shuang stood to the side, her cold gaze sweeping over the Heavenly Marquis. The Sword Intent around her became increasingly piercing, clearly having no intention of letting him off easily.

Cold sweat broke out on the Heavenly Marquis’s forehead, and his body trembled slightly. He knew that today’s matter would likely not be settled so easily.

“Senior is right to lecture me. This Junior was blinded by greed and made a huge mistake in a moment of confusion. I have been regretting it ever since. I hope Senior will consider that this Junior’s cultivation was not easy and give the Da Luo Sword Sect a chance to turn over a new leaf.” The Heavenly Marquis pleaded, bracing himself.

Back in the Rain Immortal Realm, this woman had easily destroyed one of his souls. If he hadn’t left some means behind in the Sect, he would have already suffered Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering.

Now, he could only rack his brains for a way to make these two let him go.

However, he also realized that these two had come to the Da Luo Sword Sect just to let the Immortal Sword circle around and lure him out. Clearly, it wasn’t to kill him. But up until now, he still didn’t know what their purpose was. He could only wait while begging for mercy.

“Tsk tsk, one of the two great titans of the Tianyun Star…” Yu Xian still maintained a playful expression.

“Seniors, to make up for my past mistakes, I am willing to be at your beck and call. Additionally, I am willing to offer thirty percent of the resources in the Sect’s treasury with both hands, only asking that Seniors quell your anger and give the Da Luo Sword Sect a way to live.” The Heavenly Marquis gritted his teeth and said.

In the face of absolute strength, there is no dignity or pride to speak of.
