Chapter Index

Heavenly Marquis was about to press on, but Tian Mozi held him back.

“Heavenly Marquis, don’t be rash. He wants to use our strength; we cannot let him succeed!”

Tian Mozi was extremely wary of Yu Xian. He could sense that beneath the other party’s calm exterior lay all sorts of machinations.

This defensive Formation could not only withstand attacks but also convert the power for his own use. Such a bizarre technique set off alarm bells in his heart.

He stared at Yu Xian, this seemingly young lad who wore a composed expression, as if everything was under his control.

This feeling of being led by the nose made Tian Mozi extremely displeased, yet he had to admit that the Formation attainments of this Sui Nie Stage Cultivator far exceeded his imagination.

Stopped by Tian Mozi, Heavenly Marquis also calmed down a bit. He took a deep breath, fixed his gaze on Yu Xian, his eyes surging with killing intent mixed with a trace of unwillingness.

He knew Tian Mozi was right; continuing the attack would only allow the opponent to reap the benefits. But to give up just like that, he truly could not swallow his pride.

“Heavenly Marquis, they cannot hide in the Formation forever,” Tian Mozi reminded him.

Hearing this, a flash of realization crossed Heavenly Marquis’s eyes. He snorted coldly, “You are right. They must come out eventually. The operation of this Revival Formation must consume enormous energy. We will just wait here and see how long they can last!”

He no longer rushed to attack but instead suppressed his aura. The crimson Immortal Swords hovered above his head, like ferocious beasts ready to strike, tightly locking onto the defensive Formation.

Seeing this, Tian Mozi also stopped his actions. The ink-colored Demon God slowly dissipated, transforming into an inky mist that coiled around his body. His eyes scanned everything inside the hall gloomily, trying to find other flaws in the Formation.

An eerie silence fell inside the Revered Hall. Only the faint humming sound from the operation of the Revival Formation and the slight sound of vitality recovering within Qing Shuang could be heard.

Yu Xian sensed the intentions of the two, and a barely noticeable curve touched the corner of his mouth.

Actually, as long as Qing Shuang was successfully resurrected, those two shameless old scoundrels would pose no threat.

Moreover, once Qing Shuang awoke, he could directly take both the person and the swords back to the Small World. Would they even be able to find them then?

    Heh heh…

As time passed, the aura within Qing Shuang grew increasingly strong. Her originally illusory remnant soul had solidified as if she were an Immortal Master. Her skin began to emit a radiant luster, and a faint blue light spot even circulated between her eyebrows, clearly indicating she was only one step away from fully awakening.

Li Muwan felt the surging vitality within the Formation, and her tightly strung nerves relaxed slightly. The sweat beads on her forehead gradually faded, and a smile of relief unconsciously appeared at the corner of her mouth.

Finally, a torrential downpour of azure Immortal Rain fell within the Revered Hall. The Laws of the Rain Realm resonated, the spatial vortex calmed, and the former glory of the Rain Realm flickered in the ruins.

Yu Xian knew it was almost over, so he quickly formed the Immortal Emperor hand seals. The green light of the Revival Formation retracted. Qing Shuang’s eyelashes trembled, and she slowly opened her eyes, her Physical Body and Divine Soul completely stabilized.

Seeing this, Yu Xian and Li Muwan both breathed a sigh of relief.

Outside the defensive Formation, Heavenly Marquis and Tian Mozi’s eyes held a trace of mockery. They were just waiting for the people inside the Formation to come out after the resurrection was complete. They had plenty of time to waste with these juniors.

After all, inside there was one Sui Nie Stage Cultivator, one Nascent Soul Stage Cultivator, and one who was half-dead. None of them could escape the encirclement of two Sui Nie Stage experts.

Obtaining the Immortal Swords was only a matter of time.

However, just as they were leisurely waiting for the people inside to come out on their own, the three people inside the Formation suddenly vanished, along with the four Immortal Swords!

The expressions of Heavenly Marquis and Tian Mozi instantly changed drastically, their eyes filled with disbelief and horror.

They had clearly sealed the entire Revered Hall airtight. Let alone living people, not even a single fly could leave silently. Yet, the scene before them made them feel as if they had plunged into an ice cellar.

Those three people, along with the four Immortal Swords, disappeared as if they had never existed. The moment the light of the defensive Formation quietly dimmed, they completely lost all trace.

“Spatial fluctuation! It’s the Law of Space!” Tian Mozi was the first to react. His Divine Sense swept across the entire Revered Hall like a tide, but he couldn’t even capture the residual aura of a spatial crack.

He stared fixedly at the empty position of the Formation Core, and his ink-mist-covered eyes shot out towering rage. “Damn it! This brat actually mastered such an exquisite spatial teleportation technique!”

Heavenly Marquis was so angry his whole body trembled. He shattered the defensive Formation—which they couldn’t break no matter how they attacked earlier—with a single palm strike.

“Unacceptable! We were actually toyed with by a mere Sui Nie Stage junior! Four Immortal Swords…”

The more Heavenly Marquis thought about it, the angrier he became. His chest heaved violently. His previous smugness and greed had all turned to smoke, leaving only the humiliation of being fooled.

The two frantically searched inside the Revered Hall, sweeping their Divine Sense over every corner again and again. But in the end, they only found some faint residual energy fluctuations from the Formation.

“Chase! They definitely haven’t gone far!” Heavenly Marquis growled through gritted teeth. Golden light lit up around him again, clearly indicating he intended to use some kind of tracking secret art.

Tian Mozi, however, was calmer than him. Although his expression was still grim, his eyes held a trace of solemnity and contemplation.

He waved his hand to stop Heavenly Marquis and said in a deep voice, “No need to chase. Since the opponent could leave silently under our noses, they must be acting with confidence. Forcibly pursuing them will only lead us into their trap. Moreover, this Immortal Realm ruin already has unstable space. Who knows where they teleported to? We can’t even lock onto their spatial coordinates. Chasing is futile.”

Hearing this, Heavenly Marquis slowly loosened his tightly clenched fists, and the light of the crimson Immortal Swords dimmed slightly. He knew Tian Mozi was right.

Not only did they fail to obtain the Immortal Swords on this trip, but they ended up serving as the foundation for the opponent’s Revival Formation, and finally, they let the other party leave at ease. This was simply a great humiliation for a Sui Nie Stage great expert.

“So we just let it go like this?” Heavenly Marquis asked unwillingly, his tone carrying a hint of frustration.

Tian Mozi snorted coldly, looking outside the Revered Hall with gloomy eyes. “Let it go? Of course not! We will settle this score with him sooner or later! It’s just that right now, we need to figure out who this brat really is to be able to set up such a bizarre Formation and master such profound Laws of Space…”

Tian Mozi’s voice grew lower and lower, and a trace of imperceptible apprehension flashed in his eyes.

He had originally thought this would be an easy plunder, but unexpectedly, they had kicked an iron plate—and an iron plate that could run, at that.

The Revered Hall fell into a dead silence once more. But this time, the silence no longer held the tension of confrontation, but was filled with thick unwillingness and anger, along with a sense of defeat that even they were unwilling to admit.

Yu Xian hadn’t actually left Heavenly Marquis and the others. Instead, he returned with Li Muwan and Qing Shuang to the Small World. He planned to go out only after the two outside had left.

The main reason was that he didn’t know if Qing Shuang’s combat strength had recovered along with her resurrection, so the safest course of action was to return to the Small World first.
