Chapter 66: Rescuing Huang Rong
by MachineSamurai9124Yu Xian only knew that Huang Rong had been abducted, but he didn’t know where she was taken. However, knowing the general direction made it easy to pursue.
The Mongols abducted Huang Rong most likely to blackmail Guo Jing. He didn’t need to worry too much about her safety, and the most probable destination was the Mongolian camp.
Therefore, as long as he found the Mongolian camp, he should be able to find Huang Rong.
After determining the direction of the Mongolian camp, Yu Xian continued to gallop all the way. Although he knew Huang Rong’s life wasn’t in danger, she would certainly suffer quite a bit, so he had to rescue her as soon as possible.
Two hours later, Yu Xian found the Mongolian camp.
He hadn’t seen any trace of those people along the way, so they had likely already returned to the camp. It was mainly because Little Dragon Girl had chased in the wrong direction and he had tracked from a different direction that so much time had been wasted for nothing.
Yu Xian found a high vantage point and hid in a secret spot to observe the situation in the camp.
There were many people training in the military camp, as well as teams of patrols. Trying to sneak in during the day would be easily discovered.
After observing for a while, he still hadn’t found any trace of Huang Rong.
Yu Xian wasn’t actually in a hurry. Even if he knew where Huang Rong was now, it would be better to wait until nightfall to take action. So, he continued to observe carefully from the high ground.
Finally, Yu Xian noticed several strange people, not dressed as soldiers, taking turns entering a tent. Their expressions were different when they went in versus when they came out.
They looked determined when they went in, but were very angry when they came out. Moreover, the guards outside that tent were stricter than at the other tents.
Yu Xian guessed that Huang Rong was in there.
Those people probably wanted to manipulate Huang Rong, but they didn’t expect that she wouldn’t fall for their tactics. Thus, they didn’t get their way but couldn’t kill her either, which was why they left in anger.
Having confirmed the location, Yu Xian felt much more relaxed and stopped watching so closely.
However, aside from those few people in strange clothes, he didn’t see anyone like Jinlun Dharma King.
Had they not returned yet? Or had they already returned but just hadn’t come out of their tents?
Regardless, he had to be careful.
Yu Xian waited until after dark before he began to move stealthily.
He had already scouted the environment thoroughly during the day. He easily made his way near the tent where Huang Rong was likely being held.
Avoiding the guards, Yu Xian quietly cut a slit in the tent. Looking inside, it was just as he expected; the person imprisoned inside was indeed Huang Rong.
At this moment, Huang Rong was tied up tightly, her clothes and hair a bit disheveled. Although she looked quite miserable, there were no signs of bleeding. She was likely just having her acupoints pressed and hadn’t suffered any external injuries.
Yu Xian’s heart settled down.
Taking advantage of a patrol passing by, Yu Xian immediately and swiftly tapped the acupoints of the two guards at the entrance, then slipped into the tent.
Huang Rong’s acupoints had been pressed, so she couldn’t move, but her hearing was still very sharp. She opened her eyes the moment Yu Xian entered the tent.
Seeing it was Yu Xian, she was somewhat in disbelief.
She knew Yu Xian hadn’t been at the residence for the past few days, so how could he suddenly appear here?
Did he come here specifically to save her? Or was it just a coincidence?
After she married Guo Jing, took over the Beggars Sect, and settled in Xiangyang, she had no female friends nearby to talk to. She was naturally a lively and very cheerful person, but with no one to communicate with, she had to resolve everything alone, which had made her much more somber.
It wasn’t until Ning Zhongze and Little Dragon Girl moved in next door that she would go over to visit them every day after finishing her business. They quickly became close confidantes who shared everything.
Guo Jing was rarely at the residence due to his busy schedule, and Guo Fu was very arrogant, leading some’subordinates’ out to play whenever she had the chance. She didn’t interfere much, so she had more time to visit next door.
Little Dragon Girl was simple and adorably naive, while Ning Zhongze was gentle and refined, and both were women of the Jianghu. They had many common topics, and she loved spending time with them.
Her abduction this time actually happened just as she was returning home from next door. She had just stepped out of the Yu Residence gate and hadn’t yet reached the Guo Residence when she was surrounded by several strangely dressed people, who threw all sorts of poisons at her without a word.
She wasn’t a Jianghu novice and reacted immediately. However, two fists are no match for four hands, especially with those poisonous powders surrounding her.
Even though Guo Jing and Little Dragon Girl heard the commotion and rushed over, it was already too late; she had already fallen into enemy hands.
She woke up here and only later learned she had been captured by the Mongols. They wanted her to persuade Guo Jing to serve Mongolia and also wanted to use her to control him.
However, she knew very well that even if they threatened Guo Jing with her, he would not be swayed for the sake of national righteousness.
And she would not allow herself to become a threat to Guo Jing.
If it truly came to a point of no return, she would end her own life rather than become Guo Jing’s weakness.
She just hadn’t expected Yu Xian to appear here.
Yu Xian saw the surprise and disbelief in Huang Rong’s eyes and signaled her to be silent. Then he stepped forward, checked her condition, and immediately untied her and unblocked her acupoints.
Huang Rong still seemed weak all over; there was likely still poison in her system that hadn’t been neutralized.
Yu Xian directly placed a Great Returning Pill into Huang Rong’s mouth and used his palm to help her digest it.
He didn’t know how to detoxify, but he had medicine! He still had quite a few Great Returning Pills and Xiao Huan Dans. The Great Returning Pill had a detoxifying effect.
Although he hadn’t received any more Great Returning Pills or Xiao Huan Dans from signing in with Li Mochou yesterday, his stock was perfectly sufficient.
Even though he didn’t plan on having any sort of relationship with Huang Rong because of Guo Jing’s existence, he wasn’t stingy toward her.
In just a moment, Huang Rong’s face turned rosy; the efficacy of the Great Returning Pill truly had a guaranteed reputation.
“What kind of Medicinal Pill is this? I feel that not only has the poison in my body been neutralized, but my Internal Energy is recovering rapidly, and there’s even a slight trend of it increasing?” Huang Rong looked at Yu Xian in surprise.
When Yu Xian fed her the pill just now, she thought it was just an ordinary detoxification pill. She didn’t expect the effect of this pill to be so good.
She was certain that this pill was absolutely extraordinary.
Yu Xian had given her such an extraordinary pill without saying a word! Huang Rong didn’t know how to express her gratitude.
“Great Returning Pill,” Yu Xian replied nonchalantly.
“Great Returning Pill? This…” Huang Rong couldn’t help but be greatly shocked upon hearing this. She knew this pill was extraordinary, but she never imagined it was a Great Returning Pill!
“Alright, Sister Rong, now is not the time to worry about this. Let’s leave quickly.” Yu Xian knew what Huang Rong wanted to say and quickly stopped her.
There were thousands of troops and horses outside, and he didn’t want to become a target for everyone here.
Hearing this, Huang Rong didn’t hesitate; she nodded directly and followed closely behind Yu Xian.
Yu Xian first checked the situation outside. They hadn’t been discovered yet, so he led Huang Rong directly out of the tent and vanished into the darkness.
