Chapter Index

As soon as Sun Dian’s voice fell, dense blood-colored runes appeared on the walls around the stone chamber, emitting a heart-palpitating pressure as they flowed.

The Formation patterns on the ground seemed to come alive, transforming into chains of red light that coiled towards Yu Xian and the others.

“I knew you had ulterior motives and deliberately led us here. Do you think a mere Formation like yours can trap us?” Yu Xian said, a sneer playing on his lips as he saw the red light coiling towards them.

Before he finished speaking, he and the four women suddenly vanished from the Formation at the same time.

Sun Dian watched with wide eyes as Yu Xian and the others disappeared from the Formation. His pupils instantly constricted, the cold ruthlessness on his face solidifying, replaced by an expression of incredible shock.

He stared intently at the empty spot, somewhat disbelieving his own eyes, his hands frozen in mid-air in the gesture of forming a seal.

“Impossible… How is this possible? The Soul-Locking Demon-Trapping Formation is the treasure of my pavilion. It has been laid out for many years and has never failed. Once a Soul Transformation Stage Cultivator is trapped, they cannot escape. How could they…” Sun Dian murmured in astonishment.

He abruptly turned his head to look at the entrance of the stone chamber, then scanned the surrounding Formation patterns, trying to find traces of Yu Xian and the others’ disappearance.

However, apart from the continuously flowing blood-colored runes and the Formation patterns on the ground, there was no other movement in the entire stone chamber, as if everything that had just happened was merely an illusion.

A chill instantly shot from the soles of his feet to his heart. Only then did he realize that he had probably poked a hornet’s nest; this seemingly casual Yu Xian was definitely not someone he could control.

Sun Dian formed another seal, undoing the Soul-Locking Demon-Trapping Formation, then went to investigate what had happened and how the people had disappeared.

As a result, as soon as the Formation was withdrawn, Formation patterns suddenly lit up where he stood. He was trapped in a Formation, unable to move!

Sun Dian’s pupils constricted again. He suddenly looked up and saw Yu Xian, who had appeared in the center of the stone chamber at some unknown point, looking at him with a half-smile, while Ning Zhongze and the other four women also watched him with playful expressions.

“Pavilion Master Sun, your Soul-Locking Demon-Trapping Formation indeed has some tricks, but unfortunately, it’s useless against me.” Yu Xian slowly approached, his voice calm but carrying an undeniable Aura.

“Now, let’s talk about how you plan to compensate us for the ‘loss’ of being invited here.”

Sun Dian’s face turned ashen. He never expected that this group of people not only possessed immense wealth but also unfathomable strength. He hadn’t even seen how they broke the Formation and trapped him in return.

“Fellow Daoist Yu, a misunderstanding, it’s all a misunderstanding… This old man merely wanted to play a joke with Fellow Daoist, to test your strength, with absolutely no ill intent. I hope Fellow Daoist won’t take it seriously.” Sun Dian’s forehead seeped with fine cold sweat as he feigned composure and tried to explain.

As he spoke, he secretly circulated the spiritual power within his body, wanting to break free from the restraints, but found that the invisible Formation was like an impenetrable wall. No matter how he attacked, it remained motionless.

“But I took it seriously!” Yu Xian replied with a smile.

“Fellow Daoist, Fellow Daoist, I apologize to you. I only ask that Fellow Daoist show mercy and spare my life!” Sun Dian’s voice trembled, his usual elegance and composure completely gone, replaced only by deep fear.

“I don’t accept apologies.” Yu Xian’s smile remained unchanged.

Sun Dian instantly froze upon hearing this. “Then how can Fellow Daoist let me go?”

“Hand over your Soul Blood. From now on, the Refining Artifact Pavilion will be surnamed Yu.” Yu Xian’s voice was cold as ice, devoid of any emotion.

Soul Blood is connected to a Cultivator’s Origin. Once it is handed over, it means surrendering one’s life and death completely to another’s control. In the future, with just a thought from the other party, one’s Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering, never to reincarnate.

Sun Dian’s face instantly turned ashen, his eyes filled with terror and struggle.

He had managed the Refining Artifact Pavilion for many years, long accustomed to controlling the fates of others. How could he have imagined that he would fall into such a predicament, at the mercy of others?

“Fellow Daoist Yu, this… this is too much! How can I, a Soul Transformation Cultivator, hand over my Soul Blood?” Sun Dian’s voice was hoarse with rage.

“You can also choose not to. I can make your Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering right now.” As Yu Xian spoke, he casually snapped his fingers, and the Formation trapping Sun Dian suddenly changed its Aura, subtly threatening to crush Sun Dian.

Sun Dian felt the change in the Formation, and the spiritual power in his body instantly became chaotic. A tearing pain spread from his limbs and bones, as if his bones were groaning under the unbearable pressure of the Formation.

He could clearly feel that if the other party added even a hint more force, his Physical Body and Divine Soul would completely collapse.

The shadow of death, like a cold venomous snake, tightly coiled around his heart, making it difficult for him to even breathe.

He looked at Yu Xian’s calm eyes and knew that the other party was not bluffing. If he dared to say no, he would be Soul Flying Away and Spirit Scattering the next second.

His years of foundation, cultivation, and even life, at this moment, became bargaining chips that the other party could manipulate at will.

“Fellow Daoist, wait, I’ll hand it over, I’ll hand it over!” Sun Dian’s voice trembled uncontrollably, and cold sweat dripped down his cheeks.

He knew that he had no room for negotiation. In the face of absolute strength, all struggles seemed pale and powerless.

He took a deep breath, trembling as he extended his right hand, a drop of blood pearl condensing between his fingertips on his forehead.

This drop of Soul Blood contained his many years of cultivation and Origin. Once handed over, it meant becoming a subordinate to others, with no freedom to speak of.

Sun Dian glanced at the drop of Soul Blood with complex emotions, then finally hardened his heart and sent it flying towards Yu Xian, his face filled with despair and unwillingness.

“A wise man submits to circumstances. Pavilion Master Sun is indeed a wise man.” Yu Xian said with a smile as he received Sun Dian’s Soul Blood.

“Fellow Daoist is joking.” After Sun Dian handed over his Soul Blood, his entire complexion became disheartened, and his once upright figure seemed to instantly hunch a few degrees.

He hung his head, not daring to look at Yu Xian again. His previous elegance and cunning were completely gone, leaving only a weakness and subservience as if his backbone had been removed.

Yu Xian hooked two fingers, and the Formation trapping Sun Dian instantly withdrew.

“Ladies, take whatever Spirit Treasures you like here. From now on, the entire Refining Artifact Pavilion is ours. Am I right, Pavilion Master Sun?” Yu Xian first spoke to Ning Zhongze and the others, then his gaze stopped on Sun Dian.

“Yes, Fellow Daoist is right.” Sun Dian’s voice was dry, and his head hung even lower.

“So, what should you call me?” Yu Xian looked at Sun Dian with a playful expression.

    “M-Master…” Sun Dian completely compromised.

“Very good, a teachable child. Besides the Spirit Treasures here, do you have any private stashes?”

“Reporting to Master, none! They are all here.”

“Hmm, when we go out later, you’ll issue an order to find someone in the entire Demon Cultivation Sea…” Yu Xian directly gave instructions to find Zhang Sanfeng.
