Chapter Index

“What a beautiful face, why hide it?” Ning Zhongze was also astonished upon seeing You Ji’s face beneath the veil.

She secretly thought her younger brother truly had discerning taste; the people he found were top-notch in both appearance and figure!

“Aunt You, you are so beautiful!” Even Bi Yao couldn’t help but exclaim. Although You Ji had always stayed by her side, she had never lifted her veil. She never expected such a stunningly beautiful face underneath.

“I…” You Ji had never revealed her appearance in front of others and was momentarily at a loss for how to handle the room full of awestruck gazes. Her cheeks involuntarily flushed red, and her eyes darted away from everyone’s stare in panic.

“You guys… please don’t look at me like that…”

Although she was one of the four Great Holy Envoys of the Ghost King Sect and had seen her share of storms, at this moment she was as flustered as a young girl new to the world.

That cold and aloof demeanor was instantly shattered by this sudden embarrassment, instead gaining a touch of endearing, pitiable charm.

“Since you have arrived here, there is no need to be reserved. This will be your home from now on. There is no distinction between righteous and evil here, no conflict. Everything outside has nothing to do with you anymore. You can live however you wish,” Yu Xian said to Bi Yao and You Ji.

“Yu Xian, I…” Bi Yao still wanted to say something.

“Stay here for a while first.” Yu Xian gave Bi Yao an encouraging look.

With that, Bi Yao could only nod.

Since Bi Yao agreed, You Ji naturally did not object. Her duty was to stay by Bi Yao’s side and protect her.

Although this was Yu Xian’s Small World, who knew what dangers might lurk?

Yu Xian didn’t know what You Ji was thinking. After settling Bi Yao and You Ji in the Small World, he took Lu Xueqi out of it. They were still at the bottom of the Dead Spirit Abyss!

Upon exiting, Lu Xueqi still looked shocked. She clearly never imagined such a miraculous place existed in the world, much less that Yu Xian could actually place living people inside it.

Those women who called Yu Xian ‘Husband’ were all outstanding in appearance and extraordinary in temperament, and they were gentle and dependent on Yu Xian. This caused that inexplicable feeling of irritation in her heart to surge up again.

“Little Uncle, what… what is the origin of that Qiankun World? And who are those women?” Her voice carried a trace of imperceptible nervousness, her gaze locked tightly onto Yu Xian, as if trying to find the answer on his face.

“They are all my wives, haven’t I introduced them?” Yu Xian replied with a smile.

They had returned to the bottom of the Dead Spirit Abyss. Qi Hao and the others should be coming to find them soon.

“Little Uncle, you know that’s not what I meant to ask…” Lu Xueqi’s voice held a hint of grievance. She bit her lower lip and looked stubbornly at Yu Xian.

“Hush… Niece Lu, the matter of the Qiankun World is my secret. Can you help me keep this secret? Let this matter become a secret between just the two of us, alright?” Yu Xian touched his lips with a finger and made a shushing gesture.

Lu Xueqi wanted to say more, but then she heard the voices of Qi Hao and Zeng Shushu. She also knew that Yu Xian’s Qiankun World was of utmost importance; the fewer people who knew, the better.

Moreover, Yu Xian was now asking her to help keep it a secret, making it a secret between them. A secret belonging only to the two of them.

    This…

“Little Uncle, Junior Sister Lu!” Before Lu Xueqi could hesitate, Qi Hao and the others arrived!

“Little Uncle, I’m so glad you are alright. I thought… I thought…” Zeng Shushu finally let out a sigh of relief when she saw Yu Xian and Lu Xueqi standing there safe and sound. Her tone was full of the relief of surviving a disaster.

Qi Hao also quickly stepped forward, his gaze sweeping over the two. Seeing that their clothes were slightly disheveled but they were otherwise unharmed, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.

“Little Uncle’s life-saving grace, Zhang Xiaofan will never forget it,” Zhang Xiaofan stepped forward and said gratefully to Yu Xian.

He had been heavily struck by Old Nian. If it hadn’t been for Yu Xian, falling from such a height would have left him crippled even if he hadn’t died! Furthermore, there were clearly traces of fighting in this abyss, very intense ones, indicating Yu Xian had fought a major battle with someone.

Because of this, Zhang Xiaofan was even more grateful.

“No need to be polite. I already promised the Sect Leader Senior Brother that I would protect you all. How are you? Are you all okay?” Yu Xian patted Zhang Xiaofan’s shoulder and glanced at Qi Hao and the others.

Whether it was Qi Hao or the four from Tianyin Temple and Fenxiang Valley, they all had some injuries, though they shouldn’t be serious; they just looked a bit disheveled.

Everyone shook their heads in unison, indicating they were fine.

“There is nothing more to do here. This operation ends here. Let’s leave first,” Yu Xian said to everyone.

    “Yes!” Everyone agreed.

“Let’s leave this place quickly.” As Yu Xian spoke, he first summoned the xuanyuan sword and flew up, pulling Lu Xueqi up with him in passing.

“Niece Lu is injured, I will carry her. You all follow!”

As his voice fell, Yu Xian flew out of the abyss bottom with Lu Xueqi.

When the others arrived, although Lu Xueqi restrained her gaze, it still lingered on Yu Xian from time to time. Being suddenly pulled by Yu Xian, she was startled.

Flying while held in Yu Xian’s arms, her face involuntarily flushed red again. Then she recalled the scene when she first fell—back then…

No, no! How could she think of those things? Besides, when was she injured? Her injuries had healed long ago!

“Little Uncle, I can…” Lu Xueqi struggled, wanting to fly herself. She was perfectly capable of flying on her own!

“Be good and listen,” Yu Xian said with gentle coaxing, like speaking to a child.

The words Lu Xueqi was about to say were swallowed back immediately. She could clearly feel the steady strength emanating from the hand around her waist, neither presumptuous nor overbearing, yet carrying a reassuring warmth.

The crisp scent of Yu Xian, mixed with a faint fragrance of grass and wood, lingered near her nose, inexplicably calming her previously agitated state of mind.

She stopped struggling, merely tilting her cheek slightly to the side to avoid the gazes cast by Qi Hao and the others behind her, trying desperately to conceal something, but the roots of her ears couldn’t help but flush red.

After leaving the Dead Spirit Abyss and the Wanfu Ancient Cave, Yu Xian and his group parted ways with the people from Tianyin Temple and Fenxiang Valley. The journey back was uneventful.

Upon returning to the Qingyun Sect, Lu Xueqi fled as if escaping back to Xiaozhu Peak.

Yu Xian just smiled and didn’t chase after her, giving Lu Xueqi some time. He knew Lu Xueqi would not reveal anything about Bi Yao, You Ji, or the Small World.

Yu Xian proceeded directly to his residence on Tongtian Peak.

Just as he reached the courtyard entrance, he saw a figure clad in pale green. The figure stood quietly in the courtyard with his back to the gate. A gentle breeze swept by, stirring the jade pendant at her waist, producing a faint, crisp sound.

Her black hair cascaded like a waterfall, and her posture was even more upright, her temperament as cold as the moonlight.

Yu Xian flashed forward and embraced her from behind, burying his head in her neck and shoulder, deeply inhaling her scent.
