Chapter Index

Mu Chunfeng possessed the appearance of a gentle and refined Young Master, with clear and handsome features, a straight nose bridge, and softly curved lips. When he smiled, faint arcs would form at the corners of his eyes, resembling the breeze brushing over a lake in spring, inexplicably drawing people closer.

He was draped in a light apricot-colored cloak, its edges trimmed with a circle of fine, soft fox fur. When the wind blew, his robes billowed, making him look like an orchid and a jade tree standing among the crowd. Without needing to deliberately draw attention, he was instantly noticeable.

The man lived up to his name: Like a Spring Breeze.

This was Mu Chunfeng’s first impression of Yu Xian.

When they arrived at the Dongji Sea City Government, Mu Chunfeng had already been waiting with his men for a long time.

“Mu Family, Mu Chunfeng, greets Young Master Yu.” As Yu Xian alighted from the carriage, Mu Chunfeng immediately stepped forward, bowed respectfully, and paid his respects.

Yu Xian nodded slightly, his gaze resting on Mu Chunfeng, and he subtly approved.

“Young Master Mu is too polite. I apologize for keeping you waiting for so long; it is we who are discourteous.” Yu Xian’s tone was even, neither arrogant nor lacking in status.

Mu Chunfeng straightened up, his smile remaining gentle. He turned sideways and made a gesture of invitation: “Young Master Yu has traveled a long way and must be weary from the journey. A modest banquet has been prepared at the residence to welcome you and the honored Madams.”

He subtly glanced at Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong behind Yu Xian. Both Madams were stunningly beautiful, possessing distinct temperaments yet both radiating peerless grace. He couldn’t help but secretly praise Yu Xian for his good fortune.

“There is no need for a family banquet. You cooperate with the Yongan King and the Langya King to settle the soldiers and let them adapt to life on the water as soon as possible. I do not need accommodations arranged; I have my own plans,” Yu Xian said lightly.

Mu Chunfeng was slightly taken aback, seemingly not expecting Yu Xian to be so direct. He quickly composed himself and bowed, replying, “I shall obey Young Master Yu’s orders. The arrangements for the soldiers have been settled with the two Kings. The barracks around the Dongji Sea City Government have been repaired, and provisions and fresh water are fully stocked. They will certainly be able to rest and recuperate with peace of mind.”

He paused, then added, “If Young Master Yu requires anything, you may send someone to inform us at any time. Everyone in the residence will certainly exert all effort to cooperate.”

Yu Xian made an ‘Mm’ sound and said no more, turning to walk toward the city.

Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong exchanged a glance and followed closely behind.

Mu Chunfeng watched the backs of the three figures, a flicker of inquiry crossing his eyes. He then suppressed his thoughts and turned to direct his men in arranging for the soldiers to move into the barracks.

Yu Xian then led Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong to the ferry dock, found a spot, and directly summoned the large ship from before.

This ship was prepared for their journey to Xia Ke Island; he had personally drawn the design plans for the cabin. The days spent on the ship during their last voyage had been very comfortable and pleasant.

Although the ship had been stored, Lin Pingzhi had sent people to maintain it. So, the day he returned, he went to retrieve the ship and placed it in the sea area within his Small World. Yu Xian could now mobilize everything inside the Small World with his Divine Thought.

However, they now needed to find crew members for the ship.

As soon as the ship was released, The Women also emerged. They were familiar with this ship; apart from being unable to sail it, they could basically be self-sufficient on board.

Subsequently, The Women began to re-outfit the ship and compiled a list of supplies that needed replenishing, as they had some experience with sea voyages.

They did not prepare anything themselves but handed the list to Yu Xian. After all, if their entire group went out together, it would certainly cause quite a stir, and they did not wish to be gawked at.

Yu Xian naturally would not allow his women to be stared at, so he directly tossed the list to Yang Guo.

Yang Guo took the list and scanned it briefly. It itemized various goods clearly and logically.

He understood this was an important preparation before setting sail and dared not delay. He immediately nodded: “Master, rest assured, your Disciple will arrange this now and guarantee that all supplies are procured as quickly as possible, without missing a single item.”

Saying this, he took the list and turned to leave.

Yu Xian watched Yang Guo’s retreating back, the corner of his mouth curving slightly upward. With Yang Guo around, he truly didn’t need to worry excessively about these trivial matters.

He was really getting lazier and lazier.

“Why does Young Master’s ship look a little familiar to me?” Lu Xiaofeng asked Yang Guo, who was returning with the list.

“Think about it some more, and you’ll know why this ship looks familiar,” Yang Guo replied simply, then went to prepare the supplies.

“Old Hua, don’t you find it familiar?” Since Yang Guo didn’t give him the answer, Lu Xiaofeng asked Hua Manlou next.

“Xia Ke Island,” Hua Manlou stated, saying only three words.

“What? I… I thought it was astonishing enough that the Young Master could bring us to this world and even make The Women disappear. I never expected that he could actually bring such a large ship over now! It’s miraculous, truly miraculous!” Lu Xiaofeng was completely astonished.

“We have seen the Young Master’s divine methods before; what is there to make such a fuss about? Anything miraculous happening to the Young Master is not strange,” Hua Manlou shook his head and said.

He was indeed very shocked when the large ship first appeared, but thinking of Yu Xian’s abilities, it suddenly seemed like a matter of course.

Lu Xiaofeng stroked his two strands of mustache and nodded in agreement.

How fortunate they were to be able to follow such a miraculous person. “How about we also ask the Young Master to go back and bring our original ship over?” Lu Xiaofeng posed thoughtfully.

Although their original ship wasn’t as luxurious as Yu Xian’s, it had been carefully prepared, and they had lived on it, so they were familiar with it. Since Yu Xian could bring one, bringing another one should also be possible, right?

“You still want to drink and sing on the ship like when you went to Xia Ke Island back then!” Hua Manlou shook his head. They were generals now, leading ten thousand soldiers; how could they still be as unrestrained as they were in the Jianghu back then?

Lu Xiaofeng understood the meaning behind Hua Manlou’s words, pursed his lips, and then sighed. “This is why I dislike the imperial court.”

“After this matter in Dongying is settled, we will still be us,” Li Xunhuan interjected from the side.

“That’s right. Our current status is only temporary; even the Young Master is the same. After taking over the Allied Forces, the people the Young Master can use are only the few of us. Although Xiao Se and the others will arrive later, we are the ones closest and most trusted by the Young Master,” Chu Liuxiang added.

They all came from the Jianghu and naturally understood Lu Xiaofeng’s current feelings. However, they were even clearer about what they needed to do right now.

“I know, I know. I was just sighing a bit. I know the Young Master does not care for power or status; he only pursues the Peak of martial arts and absolute freedom. We follow the Young Master also for this very sense of detachment and the Dao in our hearts.” A yearning flashed in Lu Xiaofeng’s eyes, immediately replaced by determination.

Then, he patted Hua Manlou’s shoulder. “Let’s go. We should also go see how the soldiers are being settled, so that brat Mu Chunfeng doesn’t think we people from the Jianghu only know how to drink and boast.”

Hua Manlou chuckled lightly and walked alongside Lu Xiaofeng. Chu Liuxiang and the others just smiled and shook their heads before following along.
