Chapter Index

    It really was an illusion!

When the five suns in the sky disappeared, the scenery around Si Yan finally changed again.

Around Si Yan, the ocean began to appear.

The ocean was turbulent, and Si Yan’s current location was on a reef.

On the vast, boundless ocean, a figure slowly emerged.

It was none other than the Necromancer Queen!

Against the backdrop of deathly aura, the Necromancer Queen stood high above, like a deity of this world.

A pair of cavernous black eyes were fixed intently on Si Yan.

“Human, I didn’t expect you could escape your own obsession.”

    The Necromancer Queen spoke.

    “Obsession?”

Si Yan recalled the scenes inside the five Mental Hospitals and couldn’t help but shake his head.

He had no obsession about entering the Horror Space.

In fact, looking back at his past, it was all simply forced upon him.

Therefore, the illusion was broken so quickly.

    “You know this place?”

The Necromancer Queen asked, looking at Si Yan.

“The Ruin Sea, some guy mentioned it before.”

Si Yan turned his head and looked around: “This is the intermediate zone that connects all the Horror Spaces, right?”

    The Necromancer Queen nodded.

“If you want to get rid of me, you can make your move now.”

Si Yan said with a smile.

    This was the final battle.

However, what Si Yan didn’t expect was that the Necromancer Queen had no intention of making a move.

“No, the reason I sought you out is to have you help me.”

    The Necromancer Queen said.

    Help her?

    Si Yan was puzzled.

“For us Gui Creatures, after reaching Ghost Emperor, to advance further is to ascend.”

The Necromancer Queen disregarded Si Yan and began to explain on her own.

“There are a total of eight ascensions.”

“I believe you’ve also seen the Vampire Saint Emperor, and Nirathi in the illusion was also one.”

The Necromancer Queen said: “I have already completed seven ascensions; the last ascension, I cannot complete by myself, which is why I came to you for help.”

“Your strength among humans is already the strongest, and you have completely broken through the final illusion the Ruin Sea gave you.”

According to the Necromancer Queen, the illusion was given by the Ruin Sea?

“I help you? What’s in it for me?”

Si Yan didn’t deny that the Necromancer Queen might be playing tricks.

    “Benefits?”

The Necromancer Queen said with a faint smile: “Actually, your helping me ascend is also helping your women, and your Gui Creature friends.”

    “Even… all other Horror Spaces!”

    “How so?”

    Si Yan asked.

“Actually, you’ve also noticed that your human world can connect with our Gui Creature world, and the so-called Player Forum appeared. All of this is orchestrated by someone behind the scenes.”

Noticing Si Yan’s gaze, the Necromancer Queen began to explain herself.

“What I need to do now is simply to prevent our Horror Space from once again becoming an invaded party by other worlds, just like how your reality was invaded by our space.”

Becoming an invaded party by other worlds?

Si Yan smiled: “Why should I believe you?”

“Building so many Mental Hospitals and capturing so many Gui Creatures, is that also related to this?”

“Exactly. Rather than saying they were captured, it was actually protecting them indirectly.”

    Protecting them?

Could it be that putting each type of Gui Creature into a Mental Hospital was to preserve the last one of its species?

That was too ridiculous, wasn’t it?

    “It is to protect them.”

The Necromancer Queen looked towards the Ruin Sea: “Have you seen Gui Creatures?”

    Gui Creatures?

    Si Yan nodded.

His Demon King Power had indeed absorbed and concealed many Gui Creatures before.

“This is what I wanted to say.”

The Necromancer Queen explained: “The energy source of Gui Creatures, in the final analysis, still comes from Gui Creatures, but the power of every Gui Creature can be contained by Gui Creatures.”

“And what I control in the Mental Hospitals are Gui Creatures with relatively special powers; their powers will be absorbed by Gui Creatures.”

“And the ultimate owner of Gui Creatures is the ruler of this Ruin Sea!”

    The Necromancer Queen said faintly.

The ruler of the Ruin Sea???

“The Ruin Sea, also known as the Spirit Universe! Although it is the link for every Horror Space, it also belongs to a world independently. Of course, you can consider it another Horror Space.”

“When the ruler of the Spirit Universe obtains these Gui Creatures and becomes powerful enough, the Horror Spaces will naturally all be…”

The Necromancer Queen explained things logically.

    Si Yan just listened quietly.

Noticing that Si Yan seemed unconvinced, the Necromancer Queen looked towards the Spirit Universe, which was the distant part of the Ruin Sea.

“So, who exactly is this ruler?”

    Si Yan asked.

    “Spirit Universe Walker.”

The Necromancer Queen uttered four words faintly.

“Why do you think I am qualified to help you? Or believe that I will definitely help you?”

A faint smile appeared on Si Yan’s lips.

“You are human, not belonging to any level of our Horror Space; as for whether you will help me, I have already made the stakes clear.”

    The Necromancer Queen said indifferently.

The stakes, of course, were the survival or destruction of the Horror Space.

However, Si Yan was not clear about the specific final outcome.

He didn’t know why, but looking at the incredibly powerful Necromancer Queen before him, Si Yan found it hard to believe she had anything to lie to him about.

If she wanted to kill him, she would have made her move long ago.

Why would she let herself be used as a pawn, fighting the Ancestor Ghost, as she did back then?

It seemed that when the Necromancer Queen was in the Evil Spirit World, the reason she didn’t relentlessly pursue him was probably to allow him to grow.

After all, her strength at that time was much greater than that of the Vampire Saint Emperor.

Although he had used a Gui Creature with the Heart of the Demon King at that time.

However, since the Necromancer Queen knew the origin of Gui Creatures, she would certainly know how to resolve that type of Gui Creature.

After all, that Gui Creature at the time was not as powerful as the one the Western Players brought out during the war between Vampires and Werewolves later on.

Si Yan looked at the Necromancer Queen and nodded: “I believe you.”

However, just as Si Yan wanted to continue communicating with the Necromancer Queen, a ship slowly sailed towards them from the distance of the Ruin Sea!

    A ship!

Si Yan looked at the ship’s silhouette and instantly remembered the ship ticket the National Teacher had given him earlier!

    Could it be…

This was that ship on the Ruin Sea?

The Necromancer Queen also noticed the distant ship, and her beautiful face instantly became cautious.

The ship swayed unsteadily in the waves of the Ruin Sea.

But its final destination was very clear: it was heading straight for Si Yan and the Necromancer Queen.

“They’re here. You’ll soon see who the ultimate ruler of this Spirit Universe is.”

“Furthermore, once you meet this guy, perhaps you’ll understand why I asked you for help.”

The Necromancer Queen’s voice rang out.

And Si Yan, meanwhile, was looking at the distant ship.

The figure on the ship was faintly discernible.

Si Yan looked at the figure on the ship and couldn’t help but feel that it looked familiar.

But who exactly it was, Si Yan couldn’t quite recall at the moment.
