    “Should we retreat first?”

Yandao Sect looked at the man in black in the sky and said in a low voice. The pressure the opponent gave him was extremely strong; he had never encountered such an opponent. Just facing his aura, he felt he was definitely no match.

Shen Yue’s eyes turned cold and sharp as he said in a deep voice, “I’m afraid we can’t retreat.”

Hearing this, Yandao Sect narrowed his eyes, preparing for battle.

The man in black in the sky had a fascinated expression, breathing freely and enjoying the joy of rebirth.

He suddenly turned his head to look at Shen Yue’s group of three, frightening them into reflexively taking a step back.

“Thanks to you all, this seat was able to be resurrected. I shall grant you a fortune—become my slaves!”

The man in black laughed hideously. Bloody streaks surfaced on his fair face, and blood vessels bulged around his eyes as if he were transforming into a demon.

Shen Yue looked up at him and asked, “Who are you? If you want to take us as slaves, you should at least introduce your origins.”

The man in black’s lips curled up as he laughed proudly, “This seat is an Elder of the Shenyuan Cult from the Tianming Sea, Wei Tianxiong!”

    Tianming Sea?

An Elder of the Shenyuan Cult?

Shen Yue and the others were secretly surprised. This person actually had no relationship with the Taijue Sect?

They realized they were in big trouble, and they didn’t know how powerful this Shenyuan Cult was.

Bai Ninger’s heart was filled with regret. Had he known earlier, he wouldn’t have picked up that treasure underground. As a result, he had triggered a mechanism and released Wei Tianxiong.

“Since you are an Elder of the Shenyuan Cult, why were you in the ruins of the Taijue Sect’s palace?” Shen Yue continued to ask.

Wei Tianxiong’s face instantly turned ugly. He snorted coldly and said, “It’s all because of those fellows. This matter isn’t over. Once I’ve healed my injuries and restored my cultivation, I will surely slaughter their entire island!”

    Island?

    Shen Yue caught this keyword.

Wei Tianxiong’s expression returned to normal. He stared at Shen Yue and said, “Your cultivation is decent enough to be useful. What is your name?”

“Shen Yue. If we follow you, what do you plan to do next?” Shen Yue replied.

Neither Yandao Sect nor Bai Ninger spoke. Their experience in the Jianghu was far inferior to Shen Yue’s, so they could only remain still for now, trying their best not to hold him back.

Wei Tianxiong laughed, “Naturally, it is to heal. The Nine Provinces Land has declined, making it perfect for my recovery. By the way, what sect are you from? Are you from the Tianming Sea or local Cultivators?”

Hearing this, Shen Yue knew he could no longer probe indirectly.

He noticed Wei Tianxiong’s smile had become playful. He understood that Wei Tianxiong had already guessed his intentions but simply looked down on his schemes.

It seemed a battle was inevitable.

“When the battle starts, if I can pin him down, you two escape. If I die too quickly, pretend to surrender to him and act as the situation dictates.”

Shen Yue’s voice entered the ears of Yandao Sect and Bai Ninger, causing their expressions to change slightly.

    Sound Transmission Technique!

Before they could react, Shen Yue suddenly drew the wooden sword at his waist. His Sword Intent erupted unscrupulously, soaring into the sky and causing the cliff beneath their feet to tremble.

Seeing him draw his sword, Wei Tianxiong was not surprised; instead, his smile became even more mocking.

“Decent Sword Intent. Looking at your cultivation, you should have just entered the Spiritual Consciousness Realm. However, looking at the Spiritual Consciousness Realm Cultivators in the world, few can compare to your Sword Intent. You are qualified to be my disciple.”

Although Wei Tianxiong’s words were full of appreciation, his smile looked like he was mocking him.

He looked young. Even with a head of white hair, he didn’t look older than Shen Yue, but he could tell that Shen Yue was not yet a hundred years old.

As long as one was under a hundred, they were a junior in his eyes.

Shen Yue stepped forward, walking through the air toward Wei Tianxiong.

“What? You really want to make a move against me? Can’t you feel that even if I am heavily injured, my Origin Qi is not something you can compare to?” Wei Tianxiong’s smile turned cold, and his Killing Intent erupted, enveloping the mountains.

Shen Yue was not afraid at all and pressed forward step by step.

Although he wasn’t afraid, Yandao Sect and Bai Ninger were frozen by Wei Tianxiong’s Killing Intent, unable to move.

    “This guy…”

Yandao Sect’s eyes widened, cold sweat dripping down his forehead.

He didn’t think it was because Wei Tianxiong was too strong; it must be that Wei Tianxiong had heard Shen Yue’s sound transmission and was forbidding them from escaping.

At this moment, his heart was filled with grievance.

When he was at Tianxuan Mountain, he felt he was invincible in the world. But since losing to Shen Yue and joining the Qingxiao Sect, he found himself becoming mediocre.

He felt it wasn’t the fault of the Martial Path, but rather his own lack of Comprehension Ability.

If he could become strong as quickly as Shen Yue, he wouldn’t be as helpless as he was now.

Unprecedented regret welled up in Yandao Sect’s heart, making the world before his eyes turn blurry.

Bai Ninger wasn’t as broken as Yandao Sect; his heart was only filled with urgency and worry. He wasn’t afraid of dying himself; he was afraid Shen Yue would sacrifice himself.

How important was Shen Yue to the Qingxiao Sect? How many contributions had he made? If he died here, how could Bai Ninger face the Sect Leader?

For some reason, Zhang Ping’s words rang in his ears:

“That’s right, you are lucky, but that doesn’t mean the people following you will be. A person cannot be lucky forever. If one day you implicate others, you will regret it.”

At the time, he thought Zhang Ping was just speaking out of anger, trying to provoke him. He didn’t expect Zhang Ping’s words to come true.

While he was regretting, Shen Yue struck with his sword.

Along with a flash of sword light shining through the mountains, Shen Yue arrived before Wei Tianxiong in a single step.

    Boom—

Vast Sword Qi and lightning intertwined, yet they could not touch Wei Tianxiong.

Wei Tianxiong stood before Shen Yue, not even raising his hand. He used only his erupting Origin Qi to block Shen Yue’s Sword Qi.

“Are you really not afraid of death?”

Wei Tianxiong stared at Shen Yue and asked with narrowed eyes.

Shen Yue’s lips curled up as he said, “Perhaps you might not be able to kill me!”

Hearing this, a flash of anger crossed Wei Tianxiong’s eyes. He struck with a palm, and violent Origin Qi mixed with thunder directly sent Shen Yue flying.

Shen Yue flipped in the air. His sword soul condensed along his right arm, and before he could even steady himself, the sword soul swung its sword to block the pursuing Wei Tianxiong.

Wei Tianxiong didn’t care about his sword soul at all. He simply waved his sleeve as if brushing it aside, then chased Shen Yue down into the forest.

Yandao Sect and Bai Ninger stood on the cliff, still unable to move.

“What’s going on? He’s already left, so why is the pressure still locked onto us?”

Yandao Sect calmed down and began to think about Wei Tianxiong’s methods.

Before he could figure it out, the distant forest suddenly exploded. Trees were sent flying into the sky as Shen Yue’s figure moved rapidly among them.

Shen Yue suddenly stopped, turned around, and swung his sword. Sword Qi like a crescent moon cut through the trees, striking out with unstoppable force.

    Bang—

Wei Tianxiong waved his sleeve to disperse the Sword Qi and quickly closed in on Shen Yue. With a mocking smile, he said, “Is this your confidence? Such shallow sword techniques disappoint me.”

Just then, Shen Yue, who was still in his sword-swinging posture, suddenly withdrew his sword. The Sword Qi that Wei Tianxiong had dispersed actually condensed into shadows of swords, quickly turning around to attack Wei Tianxiong. Their speed was even faster than the previous Sword Qi.

    Boom—

Dozens of sword shadows struck Wei Tianxiong’s body, directly blasting out a cloud of blood mist.

Shen Yue was not happy. He immediately leaped up and held his wooden sword high. Vast Sword Qi erupted, shaking the wind and clouds.

Under his gaze, the blood mist reconsolidated into Wei Tianxiong’s form.

Wei Tianxiong looked up at Shen Yue, a contemptuous smile still on his face. He raised his right hand, and a large green banner appeared out of thin air in his palm.

As soon as this banner appeared, the world suddenly darkened!

The rolling dark clouds above Shen Yue’s head became even more oppressive, as if a torrential rain was about to pour down.
