Chapter Index

    *Buzz, buzz, buzz!!!*

The path of enemies is narrow!

Several heavy trucks turned left at the intersection in unison. A massive army of zombies began to pour into the street ahead, but the Black Crow convoy seemed to weave through them. As the zombies rushed forward, so did their wheels.

Many zombies that lunged at the convoy were quickly knocked away and crushed. Hearing Qiu Long’s instructions, many of the thugs in the convoy began to roar with excitement, knowing a big prize awaited them.

Meanwhile, the small convoy that had been fleeing at high speed suddenly felt the bullets from behind disappear. Before they could react, in the ruins of a shop on the street, the middle-aged metahuman, his body a mess of torn flesh and blood, struggled to climb out from under the collapsed floorboards.

    “Brother Dong, Brother Dong!”

The convoy’s calls came through the walkie-talkie. He staggered to his feet and took out the device. “I… I’m still alive.”

“I don’t know what happened, that group isn’t chasing us anymore.”

The middle-aged man gasped for breath, baffled by the sudden turn of events. Though he didn’t know why, he seized the opportunity and immediately had his men drive over to pick him up.

High above, Guo the Second glanced nonchalantly in the direction of the shop. In his eyes, the other man was just a useless level-one metahuman. The real prize was the moving train!

“Guo the Second, block the road, don’t let them escape!”

“That’s the plan!” Guo the Second grinned savagely. The ability to fly was a dream for many survivors. This power allowed him to navigate the night with ease. Even if he couldn’t win a fight, he could rely on his aerial advantage and mobility to escape danger.

Over time, he had inevitably become arrogant. Now, looking at the speeding train, he pulled out a grenade, flapped his wings, and flew at high speed towards the front of the train.

    *Rat-a-tat-tat!*

The advancing convoy in the distance saw someone flying towards them and had already started firing.

“Captain Lin, be careful!” In the cockpit of the Infinity, Shu Qin’s urgent cry came through the walkie-talkie.

“Just in time!” Lin Xian’s gaze swept over, instantly discerning the birdman’s intention. His face turned cold. “So you can fly, huh? I’ll let you fly!”

*Whoosh!* Lin Xian opened the cockpit door, leaned out, and suddenly raised his hand. A flash of electricity sparked in his palm!

Guo the Second, streaking across the sky, saw Lin Xian’s action and sneered, “Trying to catch up to my spee—”

    *Pzzt!*

A violent arc of electricity shot out, its speed incomparable to a bullet’s. Before Guo the Second could react, the arc had reached him, instantly blasting through his shoulder and one wing. In a flash, countless gray feathers scattered and danced in the air, like a wild duck shot from the sky!

    “Holy crap! An electro-ability?!!”

Guo the Second was terrified. How could his speed possibly outpace an electric arc? Taking a brutal hit out of nowhere, he lost control of his speed and plummeted towards the distant tracks.

    *Screech~*

The Infinity slowly came to a stop. The convoy behind it also stopped, and everyone armed themselves, preparing for a major battle.

Lin Xian flashed out of the train, charging towards the fallen birdman to finish him off. Against enemies, killing one meant one less to worry about!

    *Bang, bang, bang!! Rat-a-tat-tat!*

The side door of Car 7 at the rear of the Infinity opened. Dalou, holding a light machine gun, unleashed a hail of bullets on the approaching convoy.

At the same time, Shu Qin and Xu Jin’s convoys behind them also opened fire.

In an instant, a great battle was ignited.

“There’s another expert!?” In the Black Crow convoy, Qiu Long was stunned to see Guo the Second shot down from the sky. He stomped on the gas, charged into the zombie horde, and then yelled at a subordinate next to him, “You drive!”

He had a subordinate in the passenger seat take over, then opened the driver’s door and charged out, a bloody red aura surrounding him. His speed was incredibly fast. Like a cannonball, he smashed through several zombies and then rushed towards Lin Xian’s position.

It was some kind of extremely powerful enhancement-type metahuman ability!

Meanwhile, the yellow-haired man popped out from the roof again, raised his rocket launcher, and aimed at the Infinity. “Have a taste of grandpa’s cannon first!”

Xu Jin, in the convoy behind, saw this and immediately shouted into the walkie-talkie.

    “Rocket, be careful!”

    *Swoosh!*

A rocket shot out, flying like a streaking line towards the front of the Infinity.

But in the next instant, a pillar of blazing fire shot out, instantly engulfing the rocket and causing it to explode in mid-air!

“What?!” The yellow-haired man was dumbfounded. “Another metahuman?”

    *Boom!*

An RV charged into the street, and then, in the middle of the zombie horde in the center of the street, a pillar of flame erupted into the sky!

The flames soared, the light blazing!

A red figure descended from the sky. Lu Xingchen walked out of the fiery star, the clothes on his upper body already burned away. His hands glowed with fire as he blocked Qiu Long’s path, a smile on his face.

    “Metahuman? I am a god!”

    “Fire-type?”

Seeing this trouble that had appeared out of nowhere, Qiu Long’s expression changed slightly. He looked at the young man with his back to him and said in a deep voice, “Who are you talking to…”

Lu Xingchen looked up at the charred zombie corpses on the ground in front of him, frowned, and quickly turned around. Unexpectedly, Qiu Long had already struck with a fist, the punch reeking of blood!

    *Pfft!*

Lu Xingchen’s face changed. He quickly sprayed a huge fire from both hands, shouting, “God · Melting Fire Pillar!”

“You even fucking name your moves!!!”

Qiu Long cursed wildly. His entire body was engulfed in raging flames. His punch missed, and his body was already being scorched by the fire. Large patches of his skin were blackened. The intense burning pain twisted his face. As far as he could see, Lu Xingchen had already retreated into the distance, spraying fire.

But as the crimson blood qi flowed through his veins, the burns on Qiu Long’s body were healing at an extremely fast rate.

Not only that, as the blood qi continued to rise, his entire aura was becoming more violent.

Lin Xian noticed the huge flames in the distance and only then realized that the lone wolf named Lu Xingchen was a fire-type metahuman. No wonder Shu Qin said his strength was formidable. Such an ability was something many people dreamed of. With this support, Lin Xian felt the situation behind him had stabilized considerably. He immediately sped up and charged towards the birdman.

    *Rat-a-tat-tat!*

The two convoys exchanged a storm of bullets. Qiu Long had a savage grin on his face. Looking at the fire-type metahuman, his eyes were filled with excitement. “I’ll take care of this fire-breather. Yellow Hair, go help Guo the Second!”

    “Alrighty!”

Yellow Hair tossed the rocket launcher to a subordinate, then grabbed two AKs and slipped down from the vehicle. He moved quickly between the vehicles, his speed extremely fast, like an experienced special agent with superhuman fitness. He appeared like a ghost, and his two AKs swept across, accurately taking out two teammates from Xu Jin and Shu Qin’s convoys.

On the other side, the heavy truck had also stopped. The purple-clad woman in the passenger seat took out a pistol and aimed it at the fat man, Zhou Lei. “Fatty, aren’t you going to perform?”

Zhou Lei swallowed nervously. “How could I not? We’re in the same boat. We’ll definitely kill them.”

After speaking, he also got out of the car with a gun. At that moment, he saw the strange-limbed metahuman who was originally his subordinate run past him. He immediately shouted.

    “Da Yong!”

The metahuman called Da Yong glanced back at him with a puzzled expression and simply ignored him, charging forward.

    “Damn it, you traitor!”

Zhou Lei cursed under his breath. Although he had been a traitor himself, the thing he hated most in his life was traitors!

“The fight’s on. The other side looks pretty fierce.”

Zhou Lei hid in a corner, his expression changing slightly. He pretended to fire his gun while looking for a chance to escape.

The moment the clash with the other train convoy began, he could tell they were no pushovers. With both sides locked in a heated battle, it was the perfect opportunity for him to slip away.

Zhou Lei was just an ordinary person. He had finally managed to recruit a simple-minded metahuman as a subordinate, but before he could enjoy his new status for more than a few days, he had become someone else’s lackey again. Facing the tyranny of the Black Crow Four, he could only rage impotently. He knew that if this continued, he would have no chance of survival. It was better to run away early!

Just then, his eyes scanned the area. As the two convoys were locked in an inseparable battle, Zhou Lei suddenly discovered something good.
