Chapter 87: How Hard Are You? (1st Update, Asking for Monthly Tickets)
by SunflowerScreeech~!!!
The hydraulic ramp let out a dull groan. The spot on the steel plate where his palm gripped was actually starting to deform.
“You’re courting death!”
Dalou let out a low growl. Seeing the opponent’s extraordinary ability, a fierce light burned in his eyes. He dropped the machine gun, swung the steel-cleaving greatsword with both hands, and thrust it forcefully into the gap of the ramp!
Clang!
A huge force exploded. The edge of the greatsword sliced off a corner of the ramp. The bearded man’s eyes narrowed, seemingly sensing a degree of danger. He suddenly released his hands, then brought them together again, clamping the sword’s edge between his palms.
Screech screech screech! Sparks flew wildly, accompanied by a piercing scraping sound.
“What great strength!” The bearded man chuckled sinisterly. He formed one hand into a claw, grabbed the back of the blade, and somersaulted through the air, falling toward the ground below. His hand tore at the greatsword, cutting all the way down along the side gap of the ramp.
From the looks of it, he was planning to use the momentum of the sword’s edge to cut open the ramp’s connection point!
What a sharp move!
Dalou hadn’t expected that not only did the opponent have an iron-skin ability, but he also possessed considerable agility and skilled combat techniques. With this follow-through drag, his own strength couldn’t keep up, and the blade’s edge was torn downwards.
“Ah!”
Veins bulged on Dalou’s forehead as he roared, using almost all his strength. With a sudden pull, he viciously wrenched the greatsword out from the bearded man’s iron-pincer-like grip!
“Scorpion!”
The bearded man shouted.
Clang clang clang!
At that moment, several long whips resembling scorpion tails suddenly appeared, directly hooking onto the slightly opened hydraulic ramp.
“Use the tow hooks to pull it open! I’m going to the front to stop them from running!”
“Yes, Boss!”
The skinny monkey scout from before hooked his scorpion-like appendages firmly onto the ramp. At the same time, several agile subordinates brought over metal tow hooks and attached them to the ramp, preparing to use vehicles to pull it open.
Thump thump thump!
A series of running sounds began on top of the train.
Lou Shasha looked at the roof and immediately grabbed the walkie-talkie to shout at Chen Sixuan.
“Sister Chen, be careful at the front! Someone’s coming over!”
In Car 1, Chen Sixuan was concentrating on the flashing lights. Seeing the three short, three long, three short distress signal, she immediately understood it was Morse code.
Hearing the footsteps on the roof, she immediately grabbed her gun and rushed toward the cockpit, worried the opponent would damage the front of the train.
Bang!
But just as Chen Sixuan ran into the cockpit, the bearded man suddenly dropped from the sky, landing outside the porthole. He grabbed the front armored grille with both hands, and with a single-handed wrench, he bent one of the bars, revealing a bowl-sized hole.
He raised his blackened hand, his eyes burning as he looked at the pale-faced Chen Sixuan inside, and grinned menacingly.
“Little sister, where are you trying to run? Come play with uncle. Uncle is very hard.”
Then, his hand, gleaming with a metallic luster, shot toward the windshield!
“Ah!” Chen Sixuan screamed and took a step back, her heart instantly turning cold.
“Open for me!”
The bearded man roared, thrusting with one hand. These steel grilles could block monsters, but he really didn’t think much of this windshield.
But just as he put his full force into the thrust, the moment his fingertips were about to touch the glass, he suddenly… stopped.
“Ugh… ugh!!”
The bearded man’s pupils trembled violently, because he found that he couldn’t move!
The sound of shattering he expected never came. Chen Sixuan slowly lowered her hands, only to see the bearded man frozen in place with a look of terror on his face. Just as her mind went blank, a familiar voice sounded from behind her.
“Hey, old man. Just how hard are you?”
Chen Sixuan whipped her head around, her eyes instantly lighting up with joy.
The girl standing in the car’s corridor, her eyes glowing, her hair moving without wind, her entire body exuding a murderous aura—who else could it be but Kiki?!
“Ugh… ugh!!!”
The bearded man’s pupils trembled violently. Not only was his body immobilized, but he now found that even his voice and breathing had stopped.
A metahuman?!
A terrifyingly powerful metahuman!!
In just an instant, a bone-chilling coldness erupted in his heart!
Voom!
Kiki waved a single hand. The bearded man’s entire body shot out like a black iron ball, violently crashing into a jeep that was charging from the side.
Bang bang bang!
The immense impact directly smashed the jeep into a C-shape. The tires exploded, and the entire vehicle went flying.
“Kiki?!” Chen Sixuan exclaimed.
“Sister Chen, quickly.”
Kiki’s expression was cold, her eyes glowing with a white light even brighter than before, her hair moving without wind. A powerful evolutionary force surged forth!
She pointed toward Car 1, where the lights were continuously flashing. “Quick, save Lin Xian!”
“Okay!”
Kiki’s appearance instantly pulled Chen Sixuan back from the brink of despair. She nodded with overjoyed relief and immediately ran toward Car 1.
Kiki turned around. Hearing countless marauders starting to climb onto the train, she became furious.
“So annoying!”
Just as the chaotic looting was in full swing, an invisible shockwave, like an autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves, erupted from the center of the train.
Boom!
In an instant, all the people near the train, those who had climbed onto the flatbed trailer to steal the cars, and even the dozen or so vehicles parked nearby were all sent flying!
The shockwave, like a radiation blast, kicked up a rolling cloud of snow and dust!
“Ah!!”
“Ugh~”
“What?!”
Countless screams and cries of alarm rang out, instantly clearing away the marauders in the front.
At the front of the train, the blasted cars slid across the snow, carving out long, shallow trenches. Amidst the raging flames, the bearded man stood up from the wreckage, shaking his head. He looked extremely pathetic now.
His metallic skin was covered in bloody gashes deep enough to see bone, and fresh blood dripped down.
He wiped the blood from his nose and the corner of his mouth, looking at the young girl with a horrified gaze, and said with considerable shock.
“Impressive…”
“Boss, that girl is so strong!”
“It’s fine. What can one metahuman do? Since this train is broken down, it’s just a can of meat that can’t run. It’s only a matter of time before we crack it open!”
“Right, then we… ugh ugh ugh holy crap!” The underling suddenly screamed in terror.
Smack!
The bearded man slapped him across the face. “Who the hell are you cursing at!”
The underling pointed with a terrified gaze at the sky behind the bearded man. “No, Boss! There’s a-a-a-a-a-a monster!!!”
Voom!~
A world-shaking hum suddenly sounded, and the snow on the entire ground seemed to tremble.
The bearded man felt a chill run down his spine. He slowly turned around, but before he could see clearly, he felt an immensely huge black object coming straight at him.
In the next instant, flesh and bone disintegrated. An invisible force instantly turned a dozen people into a bloody pulp…
On the Infinity, Shasha and Dalou had just caught their breath from the pressure of the siege when they saw Kiki run over.
“Dalou, Shasha, close the windows, quick!”
Bang bang!
Just as she finished speaking, several huge impacts slammed into them, accompanied by a strong dragging sound.
“Ah!!”
“Run!!!”
“What is that thing!???”
“In the sky, it’s in the sky!!”
Countless screams and cries of alarm sounded from outside the train.
Shasha looked up and saw several gigantic shadows that blotted out the sky slide past the window. She said in horror, “What is that thing?!”
“It’s tentacles!” Kiki shouted.
Swish swish! Creak creak creak!!!
It was as if countless giant steel cables were pressing down on the train and then rapidly sliding past. The zombies and marauders outside vanished in an instant, and splattered blood stained the snow-covered ground red under the darkness.
Kiki had just woken up and her face was still a little pale. She pulled Shasha down to the ground and shouted, “Hold on tight!”
Boom boom boom boom!!!
In the dark night, countless giant tentacles slowly swept over the train like a massive fishing net, clearing away the entire marauder convoy and the swarming zombies. The tentacles seemed to carry some kind of invisible, flesh-disintegrating power. Even the bearded man was turned into a pool of blood with just a light touch!
The terrifying sounds continued to press in.
The Infinity was now as if in the depths of hell.
