Chapter Index

In an era when the sun disappeared, even in the early hours of the night, distant scenery would appear rather hazy, and even the majestic mountains would only appear as dark silhouettes in the darkness.

Everything is different now. Ten pillars of light have appeared deep in the mountains, illuminating all directions and far surpassing the brilliance of the five-colored clouds. In a daze, it seems as if we have returned to the era when there was daylight.

Not to mention the towering mountains, you can see every blade of grass and every tree on the cliff clearly. Even the colors and patterns of the strange birds flying low in the sky are clearly discernible, so vivid and lifelike.

Everyone felt as if the dust in their hearts had been blown away, and the curtain before their eyes had been lifted, revealing a bright and clear world. Mountains and rivers and all things were in sight and reflected in their hearts. Even in the harsh winter when the mountains were covered in ice and snow, it felt as if all things had come back to life, and everything was so vivid, natural and approachable.

Old Liu sat on the big yellow dog, his emotions running high. He said, “I’ve lived for over seventy years and this is the first time I’ve seen such a splendid world, such a magnificent landscape. Is this the beautiful scenery that should be here? It’s a pity that even as a newcomer, I can see things far away, but I always feel like there’s a thin veil covering my eyes.”

Cao Long began, “Cities of medium size and above actually…”

He didn’t continue. It wasn’t appropriate to talk about these things with an elderly person in a remote place. They couldn’t leave this place, and mentioning it further would only make them feel disappointed.

He changed his tune, saying, “Actually, I haven’t been to many places. The vast, dark world is too big, and the so-called brilliant cities are all like fireflies.”

Deep in the mountains, the powerful figures from those large organizations and the advanced beings all seemed to have gone mad, rushing towards the place where the ten pillars of light pierced the sky.

However, in the outer areas, Mu Qing, Wei Zhirou, Cao Long, and others remained calm, observing from a distance and even chatting amongst themselves.

They knew very well that those who were not meant for them, and even those in high positions who rushed there might die, meant that special point was destined to be stained with the blood of the strong.

Not everyone can clearly define themselves. There are too many people in the mountains who are envious. Of course, they are not blindly confident, nor are they rushing to compete with higher beings.

The ten-colored sunset tearing through the night sky was an extraordinary sight beyond our comprehension; we had never seen it before on other famous mountains where the sun had set.

Perhaps it exists, but someone deliberately concealed it, and it is not recorded in various books.

Therefore, the various factions, envious yet able to maintain their restraint, turned their attention to the land shrouded in five-colored mist, settling for second best.

In fact, this is a very rare and unusual landscape, which must correspond to an extraordinary and rare product.

However, there were far too many people who came with such intentions. The various groups had only just met when the forest was already stained red with blood, and the competition was incredibly fierce.

“Mountain God, this place is completely unreasonable! More people have died here than at the Ten Pillars of Light Reaching Heaven!”

“There are also advanced beings here! They didn’t go to the Ten-Colored Land to compete. Run!”

After being baptized in blood, with a number of people dying in a short time, the remaining forces from all sides turned around and fled decisively.

People saw a higher being enveloped in a thick fog, enormous in size, with one foot on a cliff, already close to that special point.

Almost instantly, a humanoid being, flapping its broad wings and surrounded by crimson light, descended from the sky, blocking the path of the higher beings.

“Was it an earthquake?” The ground shook violently, startling Qin Ming so much that he rushed out immediately, genuinely afraid of being crushed to death deep underground.

He then witnessed two magnificent spectacles, as if daylight had returned to the world, with a deluge of light raining down, making the mountains and rivers and all things clearly visible.

He was self-aware enough to know that the mysterious and unpredictable resources that were born at those two nodes were not for him, and that if he dared to take a step closer, he would die without a burial place.

Standing outside the crevice, Qin Ming could only look on with envy. Those masters who roamed deep in the mountains would ultimately reap enormous benefits.

Even from this quiet area, he could hear people shouting in the mountains that the Ten-Color Node was unheard of and might give birth to products of unassessable quality.

“Now I finally understand why this place is so extraordinary. Not only did celestial light descend here two years ago, but it also fell here two hundred years ago. Back then, there were no decent resources at all. The previous celestial light accumulated for two hundred years and merged with the celestial light that descended two years ago, creating the amazing spectacle we see today!”

An old man in the mountains spoke excitedly. He was a learned man who had studied this area carefully and consulted a lot of documents. Now he revealed the reason for the strangeness of this place.

“I’ve also heard the rumors that two hundred years ago, an exceptionally thick beam of light fell upon this place, alarming even the people of the capital. They dispatched powerful experts, only to find that this place was unbelievably barren. Any experts who came here wished they could flatten the mountains here.”

Apart from higher beings, everyone else in the mountains could only watch and discuss, and no one dared to risk approaching the two places of creation.

Soon after, many people exclaimed in surprise, and even the advanced beings and human experts in the center of the battlefield, who were bloodthirsty, were stunned.

At two special junctures, the soaring rays of light shifted once more.

“Is there some kind of monster underground?” Even the usually calm and collected old weasel started twitching; he was really being tormented.

This time, the five-colored smoke and the ten beams of light seemed to be moving in a circle, confined to a certain area, and moving at a very fast speed.

“They are rapidly moving along the spiritual veins created by the heavenly light, they are pulling each other, the circles they are encircling are constantly shrinking, and they are slowly getting closer to each other!”

It wasn’t just the experts who personally entered the scene who noticed; outsiders watching from afar saw it even more clearly.

“Are these two mysterious products going to be combined into one?” Everyone was puzzled; this was completely beyond their comprehension.

Ling Xu, Wei Mo, and the other advanced aliens were almost driven to despair by the constant chasing of the two wonders, but they couldn’t get close to them no matter what they did.

Even if they manage to get close, they disappear again as soon as they enter a special node, continuously shifting their location. Finally, some of the higher beings begin to wait and wait for them to come to them.

Qin Ming noticed something unusual: the node he was at was outside that area, and it was quite quiet, with no one coming over for the time being.

“Hmm?” He noticed that the crack in the ground beneath his feet was also “stirring,” spewing out silver threads with a pale golden luster, occasionally mixed with purple mist and red light.

He immediately perked up. Could it be that some precious produce was about to ripen? He hadn’t seen anything when he went in.

Could it be that because of the dramatic changes deep in the mountains, this place has also benefited?

He rushed in quickly. That colorful, intertwined place was destined to have nothing to do with him, but if he could pick even one of the other, less desirable or much less desirable, products, he would be extremely satisfied.

The silver beams of light underground intertwined, much thicker than before, and as he went deeper, he could feel a strange fluctuation.

This feeling was similar to when he practiced the rebirth method recorded in the silk book here, as if he were soaking in a hot spring and receiving a baptism of silver threads.

He felt a warmth spreading in front of him without doing anything, and he followed the peculiar ripples all the way to the end.

The path ahead is blocked by a pile of rubble.

Without saying a word, Qin Ming immediately began clearing away the stones, moving them all aside, and discovering new fissures in the ground, allowing him to enter deeper underground.

Along the way, he used his long-handled black gold hammer to clear a path several times, blasting the crevice in the ground to make it even bigger, and finally arrived at the source of the strange fluctuations.

A colorful mist of light, gushing from deeper within the fissure, enveloped a black stone, about half the size of a human head.

“What is this?” Qin Ming thought that this must be a special product that all sorts of people wanted to collect, but he didn’t know what the black stone was used for.

At this special juncture, although various colored light mists flowed, causing him to feel chest tightness and palpitations, his body could still withstand it.

He saw the light mist surging towards the black stone from the crack in the ground gradually thinning and receding. Did this mean that it was about to be fully “mature”?

Qin Ming did not make any rash moves and waited quietly. His body could still hold on, and as the light mist dissipated, he no longer felt any discomfort.

A moment later, the place fell silent, all the strange phenomena disappeared, and the rock, about half the size of a human head, was unremarkable; it was probably so small that no one would even pick it up if it were thrown away.

However, if he paid close attention, he could still detect a very faint fluctuation, a special perception he possessed after experiencing the baptism of the silver light emerging from the fissure in the ground.

“I can feel a faint connection to special products that have been nourished by the heavenly light.”

Qin Ming picked up the stone; it was heavy. He really wanted to peel off the outer layer to see what was inside.

But he resisted the urge; he had to get out immediately, or he’d be in big trouble if someone blocked him in a crack in the ground.

When he quietly emerged from the exit onto the ground, the surrounding area was quiet, but the depths of the mountains were bustling with activity. There were figures on many mountaintops, gazing at the increasingly astonishing and magnificent spectacle.

The five-colored haze and ten beams of light had become intertwined. Qin Ming silently moved through the dense forest and then buried himself in a snowdrift.

He then began to study the stone, activating the rebirth method recorded in the silk scroll. His flesh and blood rippled with golden light, and he began to peel the stone away with his bare hands.

Although the stone skin was very hard, he still crushed it silently and peeled it off efficiently.

Qin Ming continued to work on it, feeling that the stone had shrunk by two sizes, and at the same time, in his special perception, he discovered that its fluctuations had slightly increased.

He stopped what he was doing. If he peeled it open completely, would something unusual happen?

After all, while this product may not be as widely known as the two most coveted items, it is certainly not an ordinary thing.

At this moment, Qin Ming felt like he was being torn apart by a hundred claws. He desperately wanted to break the rock, but he was also afraid of accidentally causing trouble.
