Chapter Index

    Yu Xian was going crazy!

What was going on with these few children? Did they see their sister come out first and then couldn’t wait any longer? Li Qingluo, Murong Qiudi, and Lin Shiyin all went into labor at the same time!

Fortunately, there were many women in the household, and quite a few had experience with childbirth, plus the Small World lacked nothing.

Ning Zhongze led Dao Baifeng, Min Rou, Zhang Sanniang, and a few younger women to stay by Li Qingluo’s side.

Huang Rong led Gan Baobao, Qin Hongmian, Dai Qisi, and a few younger women to stay by Murong Qiudi’s side.

Li Mochou led Noble Consort Yi, Su Ru, and a few others in Lin Shiyin’s room.

Yu Xian darted back and forth like a spinning top—sometimes at Li Qingluo’s place, sometimes at Murong Qiudi’s, and sometimes at Lin Shiyin’s.

Finally, amidst bursts of infant cries, Yu Xian’s tightly strung nerves finally relaxed. He leaned against a pillar in the corridor, let out a long sigh, and the sweat covering his forehead slid down his cheeks, soaking his clothes.

The cries came from the three rooms almost simultaneously, as if competing over whose voice had greater piercing power.

Li Qingluo gave birth to a delicate and lovely daughter, Murong Qiudi birthed a sturdy little boy, and Lin Shiyin also had a son.

Now the household was truly lively. They already had children surrounding them, and now four new members had arrived. Yu Xian looked at the new mothers and infants, all clustered around by others, and a smile of both exhaustion and satisfaction appeared on his face.

Then, he thought: He probably hadn’t broken his promise; he had compensated Murong Qiudi and Lin Shiyin with sons.

Li Qingluo’s daughter was named Yu Yanling. Yao Yue’s daughter was Yu Hualing; Yao Yue had originally considered the name Hualing, thinking of Yihua Palace, but ultimately chose Hualing.

Yu Xian wanted to say that Hualing was also a nice name, but the decision rested with Yao Yue, so he couldn’t object.

He even wanted to suggest they didn’t need to stick to naming conventions, but no one listened.

Murong Qiudi’s son was Yu Chenyi, and Lin Shiyin’s son was Yu Chenxiao (Shi).

Alright, let it be that way.

In the following days, Yu Xian continued to shuttle around the rooms of The Women like a spinning top. He had to constantly monitor the condition of the new mothers and prepare nourishing tonics for them.

But the children were never in his hands, even though there were four of them!

It wasn’t until Li Qingluo and the others completed their confinement month that Yu Xian had held the babies more than a few times.

However, this time, no one was chasing him to have more children. Perhaps they all wanted to Cultivate first and let nature take its course. Yu Xian felt the same way—let nature take its course.

“When are you going out again to find Real Person Zhang?” Ning Zhongze approached Yu Xian. Yao Yue and the others were out of confinement and no longer needed Yu Xian’s care, so he could leave the Small World to search for people.

“Yes, when are you leaving?” Huang Rong asked from the side.

Yu Xian was surprised. What did they mean? Were they trying to push him out?

“No rush. Finding Old Daoist Zhang isn’t something that can be done in a day. I still want to stay home and spend more time with you all!” Yu Xian replied.

But as soon as Yu Xian finished speaking, he met the eyes of Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong, which held a hint of anger. He immediately asked, “What’s wrong with you two? Do you want to come out with me?”

Yu Xian thought this must be the reason. But throughout their time together, let alone Ning Zhongze, even Huang Rong would never proactively go out with him, preferring to let other sisters go. What was happening now?

Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong exchanged a look, then both nodded.

“The family is getting bigger, and we don’t have anything worthwhile to offer,” Ning Zhongze said, spreading her hands.

She was the first to follow Yu Xian. Back then, besides the clothes on her back and a few taels of silver, she had nothing. Now, everything she possessed was given by Yu Xian. But as the main wife, with more women and children joining the family, she felt obligated to give them gifts upon meeting.

However, she had nothing. Unlike Bi Yao, You Ji, Shuiyue, Su Ru, or Lu Xueqi, who all had some family assets.

They were certainly not like Li Muwan, who could casually produce a furnace of Medicinal Pills to give to everyone.

When they returned this time, Xiao Bai mentioned that robbing just one person outside could yield a massive fortune, so she also wanted to go out and earn some assets.

Huang Rong was in a similar situation.

So, the two of them put their heads together and decided to go out for a trip to try their luck.

When Yu Xian heard Ning Zhongze say that, he knew he had been negligent; he should have provided them with dignity. With a casual wave of his hand, several Storage Pouches appeared, filled with Spirit Stones, Medicinal Pills, and quite a few Spirit Treasures.

“Take these first. It was my fault for not considering this aspect,” Yu Xian said with shame.

Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong took the Storage Pouches, glanced inside, and accepted them without ceremony.

“But we still want to go out and find things ourselves,” Huang Rong stated firmly.

“Fine. This time when we go out, I’ll take you around,” Yu Xian saw their determined attitude and stopped trying to persuade them otherwise.

He knew that both Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong were decisive women. Since they wanted to gain experience personally, he would accompany them on the trip.

“Then you two prepare. We’ll leave tomorrow. We can go take a look at the Refining Artifact Pavilion and buy some Spirit Treasures.” Yu Xian figured that since Ning Zhongze and the others wanted to find Spirit Treasures, they could check out the Refining Artifact Pavilion.

He now possessed a large number of Spirit Stones; a single Top-Grade Spirit Stone would be enough for them to buy plenty. He also decided to buy more to bring back for the other women, so as not to favor one over the other.

Upon hearing this, Ning Zhongze and Huang Rong’s faces lit up with anticipation, and they quickly nodded in agreement.

The next day, Ning Zhongze, Huang Rong, Shuiyue, and Su Ru went out with Yu Xian.

The others also considered it, but they weren’t in such a hurry.

When the five of them arrived at the Demon Cultivation Sea, they were all quite novel. After all, the Small World was a space constructed by Yu Xian using his own cultivation. Normally, they cultivated within it and rarely set foot outside.

Looking at the churning gray-black Devilish Qi of the Demon Cultivation Sea before them, and the faintly visible floating islands in the distance, the eyes of the few women shimmered with curiosity and exploration.

“The aura of the Demon Cultivation Sea is indeed domineering. Compared to the Spiritual Vein area of our Qingyun Sect, it’s like two extremes,” Su Ru remarked.

Shuiyue was comparatively calm. She looked around, her brow slightly furrowed: “The Devilish Qi here is rampant, and the Spiritual Qi is impure. We shouldn’t stay long. We should find the path to the Refining Artifact Pavilion as soon as possible,” she advised.

Yu Xian nodded. He and Xiao Bai had explored many places in the Demon Cultivation Sea and knew where the Refining Artifact Pavilion was located.

The closest one was Qilin City.

Qilin City was one of the ten major cities in the Inner Sea. It was built in the shape of a Qilin using Black Mountain Stone, with mansions lining up one after another. It was the distribution hub for Medicinal Pills and Magical Artifacts in the Demon Cultivation Sea.

The Refining Artifact Pavilion in Qilin City was the top Artifact Refining power in the Demon Cultivation Sea, presided over by Sun Dian, a Soul Transformation Middle Stage expert, who monopolized the Inner Sea’s refining resources and the core of the Earth Fire.

The Refining Artifact Pavilion occupied the Earth Fire Vein in the heart of Qilin City, divided into the Front Pavilion (where items were sold to the public), the Middle Pavilion (the Artifact Refining Workshop), and the Rear Pavilion (a Forbidden Land and Sun Dian’s residence).

The Refining Artifact Pavilion controlled over 70% of the rare Artifact Refining Materials in the Demon Cultivation Sea, such as Ink Crystal Stone, Flood Dragon Bone, and Star Iron, and had long-term supply agreements with the major Demonic Sects.

Going there would absolutely not be a mistake.
