Chapter 600: How About We Do It Under the Open Sky?
by MachineSamurai9124Yu Xian had left Yuqing Hall but had not yet returned to Dazhu Peak when he was intercepted by Shui Yue.
Shui Yue pulled Yu Xian to a deserted spot and glared at him. He actually dared to take on such a dangerous mission all by himself! He really didn’t care about his own safety at all!
“Do you think that being in the Taiqing Realm means you can walk all over the Southern Border? If you go alone and something happens to you, what am I supposed to do? What are the Disciples of Dazhu Peak supposed to do?” Shui Yue roared at Yu Xian, her eyes turning slightly red.
Seeing her both angry and anxious, Yu Xian’s heart softened. He reached out to take her hand, but Shui Yue violently brushed him off.
“Don’t touch me! Do you think you’re so powerful that no one can stop you? I’m telling you, for this trip to the Southern Border, either you take me with you, or you don’t go at all!” Shui Yue spoke through gritted teeth with a resolute tone, clearly determined to Face the danger with him.
Yu Xian saw the determination in her eyes and knew she wasn’t joking, so he sighed inwardly.
He knew Shui Yue’s temperament; once she decided on something, she was even more stubborn than him.
In truth, he didn’t mind taking Shui Yue along; if things got dangerous, he could just toss her into the Small World and she’d be fine. He actually just enjoyed seeing Shui Yue so tense and worried for him.
Men, they really are troublesome! He didn’t deny it!
However, he also knew that as the Peak Master of Xiaozhu Peak, if Shui Yue left with him, there would be no one to manage Xiaozhu Peak’s affairs.
“Senior Sister, this trip is for investigation, not a final battle. I’ll go and come back quickly; there won’t be any danger. If you come with me, what will happen to the Disciples of Xiaozhu Peak? They are still waiting for your guidance,” Yu Xian said softly.
“The Disciples have already grown up; they’ll be fine if I’m gone for a little while!” Shui Yue refused to yield an inch, staring at him with stubborn eyes.
“As for you, foolishly charging into the Southern Border alone, do you really not know the severity of the Beast Tide? I’m telling you, Yu Xian, either take me or stay here at the Qingyun Sect. Neither of us is going anywhere!” Her words were sharp and fierce, yet they couldn’t hide the trembling in her voice.
Looking at her reddened eyes and clenched fists, Yu Xian’s desire to see her anxious vanished instantly, replaced by nothing but heartache.
He knew that further arguing would be futile. He understood Shui Yue’s temper best; once she set her mind to something, not even eight oxen could pull her back.
“Fine, I’ll take you,” Yu Xian finally relented, reaching out to gently brush a stray lock of hair from her cheek. If she wanted to go, he would take her along to save her from worrying at home.
“But you must promise me that everything will follow my arrangements. You are not allowed to act on your own, and definitely not allowed to be impulsive,” Yu Xian added. Although he had agreed, some things had to be stated upfront.
“I am the Senior Sister. In critical moments, listen to me!” Shui Yue said stubbornly.
She knew Yu Xian was very assertive, but she wanted to secure a certain level of authority. At the very least, in moments of crisis, Yu Xian had to listen to her! When she forbade him from taking risks, he had to listen!
Yu Xian looked at the unyielding persistence in her eyes and shook his head helplessly, though the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curl upward.
“Fine, I’ll listen to my Senior Sister. I’ll do whatever my Senior Sister says,” Yu Xian said with a smile.
Seeing Yu Xian agree, the tension in Shui Yue’s Face finally eased slightly, though she didn’t forget to glare at him as if saying, “That’s more like it.”
She took a deep breath, suppressing the turmoil in her heart. “Then when do we set out? I’ll go back and prepare. Should I bring some Disciples from Xiaozhu Peak?”
“There’s no need to bring Disciples. Too many people will just get in the way. We should travel light,” Yu Xian had no intention of bringing any Disciples.
However, if The Women wanted to come along, they could follow him inside the Small World. As for anyone else, forget it.
“Just the two of us?” Shui Yue asked.
“How about you don’t go either?” Yu Xian said jokingly.
“No! I must go! Do you think I’m negotiating with you? This is my decision as your Senior Sister! Moreover, it is my resolve that I cannot stand by and watch you Face danger alone. Don’t even think about making more excuses. Either take me, or no one steps a single foot out of the Qingyun Sect!” Shui Yue glared at Yu Xian, as if she would immediately lock him up in front of Yuqing Hall if he uttered another “no.”
Seeing Shui Yue like this, Yu Xian didn’t care about anything else and directly pulled her in, sealing her proud lips.
Even though no one was around, they were still outside. Shui Yue instinctively tried to struggle, but Yu Xian gave her no chance.
It wasn’t until she was out of breath and slumped weakly in Yu Xian’s arms that she said resentfully, “You bastard! We’re outside!”
“How about we do it under the open sky?” Yu Xian teased with a mischievous eyebrow waggle.
Hearing this, Shui Yue used the last of her strength to push Yu Xian away and then bolted like a flash!
Yu Xian watched Shui Yue’s fleeing figure and couldn’t help but chuckle softly before turning to walk toward Dazhu Peak.
After returning to Dazhu Peak, Yu Xian gathered all the Disciples. He informed them of the upcoming situation so they could prepare and also told them about his impending departure for the Southern Border.
He left Dazhu Peak in the care of Su Ru.
Su Ru had a steady temperament and handled matters thoroughly. Over the years, she had already managed the internal affairs of Dazhu Peak with perfect order. With her presiding over the situation, Yu Xian felt very much at ease.
After instructing the Disciples of Dazhu Peak on various matters, Yu Xian told them to disperse.
However, not a single person left.
What was going on? Yu Xian looked at them with a Face full of questions. Not only had Yang Guo and the others stayed, but even the original Disciples of Dazhu Peak hadn’t moved.
With a thud, Zhang Xiaofan knelt directly before Yu Xian. “Little Uncle, please take me with you.”
“Hmm?” Yu Xian looked at Zhang Xiaofan.
The fact that Zhang Xiaofan could still remain at Dazhu Peak was due to Yu Xian’s protection. Yu Xian had also spoken to Immortal Master The Mystic about Zhang Xiaofan’s situation. After learning the facts, The Mystic, out of respect for Yu Xian’s Face, did not pursue Zhang Xiaofan’s crimes and allowed him to stay at Dazhu Peak.
So he knew Zhang Xiaofan was grateful to him, but he was still surprised that Zhang Xiaofan wanted to go to the Southern Border with him.
“Little Uncle, you have shown me the grace of rebirth. Now that the Sect is in trouble and you are heading into danger, how can I stay here with a clear conscience? I want to stay by your side to share your burdens and do my part for the Sect!” Zhang Xiaofan said to Yu Xian with determination.
Uh… even though you’re the protagonist of Zhu Xian, you have almost no Opportunity left now. With your current cultivation, you’re fine among the younger generation, but to me, you’re just a burden! Yu Xian grumbled secretly in his heart.
As soon as Zhang Xiaofan finished speaking, Song Daren and the other original Dazhu Peak Disciples, as well as Yang Guo and his group, all stepped forward. Though they didn’t kneel, they all looked at Yu Xian with burning eyes and said in unison, “Please take us with you, Little Uncle (Master)!”
The expectation and determination in their eyes were not a bit less than Zhang Xiaofan’s.
Yu Xian’s lips twitched. “What is your Realm right now? And what is mine?”
It wasn’t that he wanted to discourage them, but they really were burdens!
Hearing his words, everyone lowered their heads in shame.
