Chapter Index

“Madam!” A Bi looked at Huang Rong in confusion.

“Wait. Mo Chou, Long’er, Qingluo, prepare to provide backup at any time. Yu Xian must have run into trouble!” Huang Rong frowned as she looked at The Women and made a decisive statement.

Judging by the sounds inside, the battle was unusually fierce. With only Ning Zhongze and A Zhu in there, they might not be able to quell Yu Xian’s rage!

The Women were all startled upon hearing this, and none of them knew what had happened! However, seeing Huang Rong’s solemn expression, they couldn’t help but become tense.

When Huang Rong told them to prepare backup, they initially didn’t know what they were supporting, but upon hearing the commotion from the room, they instantly understood. Every one of them blushed deeply.

“Sister Rong, what happened to my husband?” Little Dragon Girl asked worriedly.

Huang Rong shook her head. She didn’t know either; she was only guessing that something might have gone wrong, otherwise Yu Xian wouldn’t have acted this way.

“Perhaps there was a problem while practicing the Cultivation Technique,” Huang Rong guessed.

“What should we do then?” Li Mochou followed up nervously.

“Qingluo, go in and check, and call for help immediately.” Huang Rong looked at Li Qingluo. Li Qingluo was the most suitable person to go in at this moment.

Li Qingluo was also very worried, so she nodded and went straight in.

Sure enough, after a short while, Li Qingluo started calling for help. Li Mochou handed the child to A Bi and then pulled Little Dragon Girl into the room.

Half an hour later, Little Dragon Girl’s voice came from inside, “Sister Rong, it’s still not working! Hurry and find Sister Dongfang!” At this point, only the voice of Little Dragon Girl, who had the deepest cultivation, remained. It seemed she wouldn’t last much longer.

Dongfang Bai had gone into seclusion even earlier than Yu Xian—no, it couldn’t be called seclusion, but rather she was practicing her cultivation with even greater focus. She probably hadn’t noticed this situation.

Hearing this, Huang Rong became even more worried, but she was currently pregnant and could not withstand Yu Xian’s state at the moment.

“A Bi, give me the child, and you go find Dongfang!” Huang Rong frowned and ordered A Bi.

Huang Rong took Dumpling and told A Bi to hurry and find Dongfang Bai.

A Bi: If I hadn’t been holding the child this whole time, I would have gone in too! But, the good opportunity has passed!

A Bi cast a lingering glance at the room, gritted her teeth, and turned to find Dongfang Bai.

Only Wang Yuyan remained at the scene.

Although Wang Yuyan had not officially become Yu Xian’s woman, she was still considered his, as Yu Xian had said so himself. She was struggling with whether or not to go in.

“Yu Yan, you need to think clearly for yourself. Once you take this step, there is no turning back,” Huang Rong noticed Wang Yuyan’s hesitation. Although she did not approve of it in her heart, she could not control this matter. All the choices were up to Wang Yuyan and Li Qingluo and the others.

All she could do was remind Wang Yuyan.

Indeed, once taken, there would be no room for retreat! Wang Yuyan tightly gripped the front of her clothes, exhaled deeply, as if she had made a decision.

“Sister Rong, I have decided.” After speaking, Wang Yuyan resolutely stepped into the room.

Huang Rong held her forehead! What use is a young girl?

At that moment, A Bi didn’t know that Dongfang Bai had already become aware of the situation over there and had flown over directly, narrowly missing her.

“Sister Rong, what happened?” Dongfang Bai landed in the courtyard and saw only Huang Rong holding the child, which made her feel strange.

“Don’t ask so many questions, hurry inside, Yu Xian is in danger!” Huang Rong didn’t explain much and just rushed her inside.

“Ah? Okay!” Upon hearing that Yu Xian was in danger, Dongfang Bai couldn’t help but worry, so she turned and entered the room directly.

With Dongfang Bai inside, Huang Rong finally breathed a sigh of relief!

Then she also sighed. The cultivation of these women of theirs was still too low, the gap with Yu Xian was too large, so they were almost completely wiped out!

Or perhaps, Yu Xian just didn’t have enough women?

Huang Rong couldn’t help but ponder this question.

Huang Rong didn’t know when things inside would end, so she didn’t dare to leave. A Bi returned without finding anyone, so Huang Rong instructed her again to prepare clothes and hot water for The Women.

A Bi knew the situation was special, so she didn’t let the servants of the manor enter the courtyard, only giving instructions after going outside.

Although A Zhu and A Bi were said to be maids, they were Yu Xian’s maids, and their status was much higher than the original servants of the manor. Thus, the servants listened to their instructions and went to prepare things.

It wasn’t until nightfall, when the lights outside were already lit, that Huang Rong, who had been guarding the courtyard, heard Yu Xian’s voice: “Sister Rong, I will send them back first.” Then she saw a figure swiftly flash past, holding a person in his arms.

The speed was too fast; Huang Rong couldn’t see clearly.

Soon, that figure rapidly returned and continued the previous action.

Huang Rong knew Yu Xian was sending everyone back to their own rooms one by one. It seemed Yu Xian was fine now, and the anxiety in Huang Rong’s heart finally eased. She didn’t stay guard any longer and returned to her own courtyard.

With the storm raging inside, it was uncomfortable for her outside too. If she hadn’t been worried about Yu Xian’s safety, she truly wouldn’t have been able to hold on, even just sitting there!

A Bi took Dumpling, and after Huang Rong returned to her courtyard, she found other maids to serve her.

Tired from the whole day, Huang Rong skipped dinner and fell asleep immediately.

In her drowsiness, she smelled a fragrance, and her stomach involuntarily growled. She was carrying a child; she could go hungry, but she couldn’t let the child go hungry. So, she tried to get up. As soon as she moved, a pair of large hands steadied her and lifted her up horizontally, then placed her down to sit at the table.

Under the light, Huang Rong clearly saw that the table in front of her was filled with food, clearly prepared with great care.

“Sister Rong, you worked hard today.” Yu Xian affectionately helped Huang Rong prepare the bowls and chopsticks, then served her the food after plating it.

If it weren’t for Huang Rong’s proper arrangements today, he dared not imagine the consequences. He was truly especially fortunate to have Huang Rong.

How could he have known the aftereffects of the Fusion Cultivation Technique would be so severe? The System almost killed him!

Huang Rong took the bowls and chopsticks and ate seriously without speaking. Only after she was full did she ask, “What happened today?”

“I was researching a new Cultivation Technique and hit a snag. I needed to vent that surge of evil fire,” Yu Xian explained.

“Mhm, that’s almost what I guessed. Fortunately, we have many sisters in the family, otherwise…” Huang Rong didn’t finish her sentence.

“Compensate them well afterward, especially those two young girls,” Huang Rong continued after a sigh.

A Zhu and Wang Yuyan were both inexperienced, and their first time encountered something like this.

However, this was an accident; no one expected that when Yu Xian studied a Cultivation Technique, it would generate such immense evil fire. If they didn’t have so many family members, no one knew how Yu Xian would have handled it.

Huang Rong broke out in a cold sweat just thinking about it.
