Chapter 7: I Will Gladly Accept Heroine Ning
by MachineSamurai9124Although he had already made his decision, Yue Buqun still paused and clenched his fists when Yu Xian asked.
However, he quickly deflated and relaxed, pulling a piece of paper from his robes and handing it directly to Yu Xian to show his sincerity.
“This is the Divorce Agreement between my Junior Sister and me. I hope you will treat her well in the future,” Yue Buqun said directly to Yu Xian, without looking at Ning Zhongze.
Yu Xian hadn’t expected Yue Buqun to be so decisive and thorough, even bringing the Divorce Agreement and handing it to him directly.
Yu Xian couldn’t help but admire Yue Buqun from the bottom of his heart!
He liked this style!
Yu Xian took the paper and opened it to confirm it was indeed the Divorce Agreement between Yue Buqun and Ning Zhongze, feeling quite satisfied.
“Master Yue is indeed wise. This is the Sword Manual for the Lone Nine Swords. However, this Lone Nine Swords requires great Comprehension Ability, so you’ll have to work hard, Master Yue.” As Yu Xian spoke, he also pulled a Secret Manual from his robes—the Sword Manual for the Lone Nine Swords customized through the System.
Yue Buqun’s eyes lit up the moment he saw Yu Xian take out the Sword Manual. Thinking it was about to be his, he became incredibly excited. He was just about to reach for it when a jade-like hand grabbed his arm.
Yue Buqun turned his head and met a pair of eyes filled with shock, confusion, and sorrow.
“Senior Brother?” Ning Zhongze stared at Yue Buqun in utter disbelief.
When Yue Buqun said that paper was a Divorce Agreement for her, she felt as if she had been struck by lightning. Then she saw him hand the Divorce Agreement to the youth before her and ask him to treat her well, followed by the youth presenting a Sword Manual to Yue Buqun.
In that moment, she understood completely: Yue Buqun had sold her, trading her for a Sword Manual.
But how could Yue Buqun do this? How could he bear it?
Twenty years of marriage couldn’t even compare to a single Sword Manual! For twenty years, they had treated each other with mutual respect and supported one another to build up the Huashan Sect, yet now…
Ning Zhongze truly couldn’t believe it.
However, Yue Buqun did not answer her. Ignoring her pleas, he directly struck Ning Zhongze’s Pressure Points, rendering her unable to move, and sealed her Vocal Point so she wouldn’t interfere with the trade.
After restraining Ning Zhongze, Yue Buqun quickly grabbed the Sword Manual and flipped through it.
It was indeed the Lone Nine Swords, containing both the Sword Formulas and the Sword Forms, just as Yu Xian had demonstrated during the day, though Yu Xian’s demonstration had been more elegant and complex.
Perhaps this was the Comprehension Ability Yu Xian had mentioned.
But as long as he had the Sword Formulas and Sword Forms, he wasn’t afraid of failing to learn it.
“Thank you, Young Hero. May I ask how I should address you?” Seeing the deal half-completed and feeling their relationship had grown closer, and seeing that Yu Xian bore him no ill will, Yue Buqun asked for Yu Xian’s name.
“Yu Xian,” Yu Xian replied flatly, his gaze remaining fixed on Ning Zhongze.
At this moment, Ning Zhongze clearly couldn’t accept reality, unable to believe Yue Buqun had sold her. Her expression of shock and pleading was truly pitiable, enough to make one want to pull her into their arms and cherish her tenderly.
“So it is Young Hero Yu,” Yue Buqun responded with a smile. Seeing Yu Xian’s gaze lingering on Ning Zhongze, Yue Buqun felt confident about what he was going to say next.
He couldn’t help but mutter to himself, surprised that someone as young as Yu Xian would actually like a middle-aged woman like Ning Zhongze.
Strange things happen every year, but this year has been particularly full of them.
“Young Hero Yu, regarding the Swordsmanship of the Five Peaks Sword Sect…” Yue Buqun remembered being told that if he brought Ning Zhongze, he would be given the Lone Nine Swords and the lost Swordsmanship of the Five Peaks Sword Sect.
Now that the Lone Nine Swords were in hand, as for the Swordsmanship of the Five Peaks Sword Sect…
Yue Buqun didn’t think he was being greedy; first, Yu Xian had promised it, and second, if he had the Swordsmanship of the other sects within the Five Peaks Sword Sect, it would be much easier to deal with them.
Everything he did was for the sake of the Huashan Sect.
“Master Yue is truly impatient. Rest assured, I am a man of my word,” Yu Xian said, his tone tinged with contempt.
Yue Buqun also sensed the displeasure in Yu Xian’s tone and quickly composed himself, bowing to Yu Xian. “Then I shall trouble you, Young Hero.”
Yu Xian saw that despite his inner urgency, Yue Buqun had quickly regained his composure. He truly lived up to his reputation as a hypocrite; his ability to maintain appearances was perfected to an extraordinary degree.
“Master Yue, follow me.” Yu Xian said no more, turning to walk into the cave.
Seeing Yu Xian enter the cave, Yue Buqun glanced at Ning Zhongze but ignored her, following closely behind Yu Xian.
Yu Xian stopped in front of a stone wall and waited for Yue Buqun.
Seeing Yu Xian stop and stare silently at the wall, Yue Buqun stood beside him. “Young Hero Yu, is there something wrong with this stone wall?”
This wasn’t his first time at Siguo Cliff; he was very familiar with the place, yet he couldn’t see anything wrong with this wall.
“What Master Yue desires is inside.” Yu Xian stood with his hands behind his back, gesturing with his eyes.
“Inside? Is Young Hero Yu joking? This is a thick stone wall… Could there really be something hidden within?” Yue Buqun was skeptical at first, but seeing Yu Xian’s composed demeanor, he didn’t seem to be lying, so he asked tentatively.
“Why doesn’t Master Yue try striking it to find out?” Yu Xian had no intention of doing it himself; with Yue Buqun there, the man would be more than happy to do the work.
Having said that, Yu Xian stepped aside, making room for Yue Buqun.
Though he still had doubts, seeing Yu Xian step aside, Yue Buqun circulated his Zixia Divine Skill and struck the stone wall before him with a powerful palm.
Rumble… The stone wall cracked upon impact, fissures spreading across its entire surface, and a large hole was blasted through where the palm had struck.
There really was something hidden! Yue Buqun was instantly overjoyed, but he didn’t rush in, instead turning his gaze toward Yu Xian.
From the outside, the stone wall showed no signs of damage, and it had taken half of his strength to break it. How did Yu Xian know there was a cave here? And how did he know what was inside?
“Master Yue, go in. Once inside, you will understand what’s going on and obtain what you desire. I won’t stay to keep you company. Also, I will gladly accept Heroine Ning,” Yu Xian said with a smile, then flashed to the cave entrance outside.
“One more thing: discipline your Eldest Disciple well, or he will bring disaster to Huashan in the future. That is all I have to say. Master Yue, until we meet again.” Yu Xian added at the entrance, then his figure vanished into the darkness, along with the paralyzed Ning Zhongze.
Yue Buqun feared Yu Xian might be deceiving him and wanted to give chase, but the secret within the cave was more alluring. Besides, Ning Zhongze had already been traded away; she was no longer important.
Furthermore, Yu Xian had proven to be a man of his word before. He was eager to seek out the Swordsmanship of the Five Peaks Sword Sect, so he simply watched as Yu Xian departed.
If Yu Xian dared to trick him, he would hunt him down to the ends of the earth.
