    Chapter 110: Farewell to Classmates

“So that’s how it is.” Hylial nodded, thinking of what the Witch Melinsa had told her yesterday.

The ‘Night Dream Tea Party’ is a witch organization primarily focused on the ‘Nightmare’ and ‘Mist Shadow’ aspects, gathering many witches, and supposedly presided over by a Sixth-Order Great Witch. It has significant influence within the woodland.

However, thinking about it, she should be more inclined towards ‘Glorious Moon’, so joining the ‘Night Dream Tea Party’ might cause an aspect conflict.

After understanding the general situation of the Hidden Grove, Hylial decided to wait until she entered and studied for a period before making a decision.

On the third day, Hylial rested at home. Today, she sat under the eaves of the backyard, reading a book in a lounge chair.

From here, she could see the clear blue sky. A gentle breeze blew, and before her lay a field of golden flowers, creating a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. When she got tired of reading, she would wrap herself in a blanket and take a nap in the lounge chair.

These past few days, she didn’t have to tend to the flower field; Madame Faran did it herself.

In the afternoon, a few birds flew across the sky, some landing in the courtyard to peck at grass cuttings and search for insects, then taking flight again and leaving.

A crisp chime of bells echoed from the front yard. Soon, Lining came to tell Hylial that friends had come to visit her.

“Is it Komia and the others?” She stood up.

“Yes, one of the young ladies has the ‘Mist Shadow’ aspect. It should be the Komia you mentioned, Miss Lia,” Lining recalled briefly.

“Okay, I’ll be right there.” She put the blanket away, quickly checked the simple long dress she was wearing today, and then walked to the front hall.

At this moment, Lining was leading the group through the garden and lawn of the front yard, towards the main living room.

Stepping into this incredibly luxurious mansion, everyone looked surprised and curious.

“Wow, is this where Lia lives? It’s so big!” Komia wanted to jump up and look at her surroundings.

“This place must cost a lot of money,” Mick felt that even if he sold himself, he couldn’t afford a small part of this mansion.

    “Beautiful,” Lei also commented.

“Indeed, it far exceeds expectations,” Kaelen let her chestnut long hair fall over her shoulders, her gaze surveying her surroundings.

After seating the four in the living room, Lining soon served high-quality tea to entertain them.

“Is this Snow Orchid Tea?” Komia asked in surprise, looking at the slender white tea leaves floating in the tea and the special fragrance it emitted.

    “It seems so, what’s wrong?”

Hylial often drank such tea; it seemed that the first time she visited, Madame Faran had served her this.

“‘Snow Orchid Tea’ costs five gold coins for a small packet, enough to brew one pot, meaning two cups cost one gold coin,” Komia quickly stated the price.

“Ah.” The others gasped, feeling like they weren’t drinking tea, but rather gleaming coins.

“Is it that expensive?” Kaelen looked at the teacup in her hand and took another small sip.

“Yes, it is said that ‘Snow Orchid Tea’ can regulate the body and reduce hidden injuries and fatigue, so many high-ranking nobles favor it, and the price remains high.”

“To make Snow Orchid Tea, several rare orchids and tea leaves are needed, and an auxiliary ingredient with a ‘Blazing Sun’ aspect must be added to fully unleash the tea’s effects,” Komia explained again.

“So that’s it.” Hylial nodded. Rare orchids and tea leaves could be bought with money, but the auxiliary ingredients with the ‘Blazing Sun’ aspect were not so easy to come by. Fortunately, Madame Faran had plenty, so Hylial hadn’t realized how precious it was.

“By the way, Lia, Viscount Xuefeng asked us if we wanted anything made from ogre leather. He sent someone to tell us that the ogre leather has been tanned,” Mick remembered.

“What are your plans?” Mick and Lei each killed an ogre that day, but Mick’s was defeated through the combined efforts of several people.

“We discussed it and decided to make a few pairs of gloves and boots,” Kaelen replied.

“Lei has been learning blacksmithing recently and needs a pair of high-quality heat-resistant gloves. If Mick and I have gloves during combat, it can also significantly improve our defense and combat power.”

“As for Komia, she doesn’t need gloves, so we can make her a pair of boots.”

“No way, ogres are stinky,” Komia said with a disgusted pinch of her nose, shaking her head vigorously.

Hearing her words, the others couldn’t help but laugh.

Hylial tilted her head in thought. She also had a psychological aversion to ogres. Moreover, she wasn’t really lacking in protective gear. The coat Madame Faran gave her, although appearing plain, was surprisingly resilient. During the assessment, it had protected her from many minor injuries and scratches.

“I won’t take it. If you need it, you can have my share.”

“If there’s any left, give it to Viscount Xuefeng. I remember he seemed to need these to equip his warriors.”

“That’s right. The person who came to us at the time also said that if we didn’t use them, Viscount Xuefeng would buy them at 30% above market price as compensation.”

“Hmm, let’s do that then. Actually, when we were studying with Teacher Hyde, we also relied on Viscount Xuefeng’s subsidies.” Otherwise, the tuition they paid would not have been enough to hire Scholar Hyde, let alone the instructors at the training ground, and the free use of the castle’s training facilities.

After discussing the spoils of war, the group talked about their future plans.

“I’ll probably go to Meteor Lake in the east afterward. On the other side of Meteor Lake, there’s a smaller witch organization recruiting students, and they don’t have high requirements for aptitude,” Komia said, outlining her future plans.

“This is the recommendation channel that Scholar Hyde found for me after contacting other members of Candlefort,” Komia said gratefully.

    “Congratulations~” The others cheered.

After that, Lei, who had been less talkative, also scratched his head and spoke.

“I’m currently learning blacksmithing from the blacksmith uncle in the city. It’ll probably take two years before I can initially finish my apprenticeship and become a qualified apprentice craftsman.”

“Lei has been working very hard lately. The last time Kaelen and I saw him, he was covered in sweat at the blacksmith shop,” Komia praised.

“What about Mick?” Hylial was curious about the young man who had always clamored to be an adventurer.

“Me…” Mick thought for a moment, not answering immediately.

“After that day, I went back to the city and talked with Brother Jero for a whole night, saying a lot.”

“He plans to leave here and go to other cities.” Mick’s tone held a hint of emotion.

“He probably doesn’t want to stay here, reminded of some bad memories.”

“Before he left, Brother Jero told me that being a guard in Burntstone City is actually a good choice.”

“However, he didn’t force me, he just told me that.”

“I thought about it for a long time, and I still can’t let go. I want to go out and see the world, make a name for myself. Even if I’m going to be a guard in retirement, that’ll be ten years from now,” Mick looked out towards the distant gate.

“That’s good.” The others thought about it and nodded in agreement.

    “What about Sister Kaelen?”

“I’m going to Valley City. There’s a高级猎人公会 (High-Level Hunter Guild) there, where I can learn many skills and receive better training.” Kaelen didn’t have as grand ambitions as the others.

“Teacher said that Lia will also be leaving Burntstone City in a while, right?”

“Yes.” Hylial nodded, feeling a little sad about the impending separation.

“It’s okay, we’ll see each other again someday.” Komia hugged Hylial, feeling their warmth.

A few days later, facing the impending departure of Komia and Kaelen, the group reunited once more, this time for dinner at a restaurant in Burntstone City, with the meal sponsored by Scholar Hyde.

“Wuwu, I’m leaving, I’ll miss everyone so much.” Earlier, it was Komia comforting Lia, but now she was the one most reluctant to part.

The others offered some comfort, and soon they gathered around the dining table again, talking about their respective futures.

“I went home and gave my mother a sum of money, all earned from my adventures, and also a reward from the Viscount. It’s probably enough for her to live comfortably for nearly ten years,” Mick said, recounting his recent experiences.

“Although Burntstone City is nice, opportunities here are indeed scarce. I asked Brother Jero about the outside world and plan to go north to see. It’s more prosperous there and offers more opportunities.”

“If I can achieve something, then I’ll come back and buy a house for my mother in Burntstone City, so she can live out her retirement in peace,” Mick envisioned his future.

“Don’t talk about achievements. No matter how things are outside, everyone should come back together once more.” Komia raised her cup, but unfortunately, it only contained honey water, not wine.

“Five years, we’ll return to Burntstone City in five years, after the spring, when the Kapok trees are in full bloom.” Komia thought of the plant knowledge she had learned.

“Alright! In five years then!” Mick stood up at this moment, raising his glass.

Hearing the suggestion, Lei and Kaelen stood up in turn, and Hylial also picked up her cup, drinking the wine in it with everyone.

The light fruit wine made Hylial slightly tipsy, her face flushing a subtle red, making her look somewhat charming and cute. However, she was still quite clear-headed; this small amount of wine wouldn’t affect her brain.

The group talked about their experiences over time, from getting to know each other to participating in training, hunting, and adventures together. Then they discussed their respective families, their thoughts on life and future plans, and so on.

Unbeknownst to them, the lavish feast on the table gradually turned into leftovers, and the wine bottles became empty one by one. Mick, who had drunk the most, even passed out on the table.

After the gathering, everyone felt a touch of sadness. After this separation, it would probably be a long time before they met again.

Only two days remained until Hylial’s departure.
